To be fair he is a Canadian reviewer and only "American" by North America (not United States of America which most people think of as "American"). I haven't been a fan of LTT in years, not a very good content creator
I doubt his ignorance. Probably being paid to ignore how to install Google in a Huawei. Having said this, the new Harmony OS Next update will render all android apps broken. So unless somebody releases a new method on the OS update, this is something buyers should be aware of.

Just because HarmonyOS Next isn't based on Android doesn't mean that both AOSP-based HarmonyOS and HarmonyOS Next cannot coexist. Because if that's the case millions of Chinese smartphone users will find themselves with bricks the moment they travel abroad for work or leisure.

One quick comment for the microg installation. You have to get the links that end in HW from the alternative links section for Huawei phones. If you use the main links it will not work. Also, adding GBox after installing microg will allow you to put the real Google Play store on your desktop and install apps nativity. No ads or costs.

Not really that phone is pretty overpriced for what it offers not to mention you definitely can’t repair that phone if it breaks and it’s definitely not something you take outside or use as a daily it also uses some pretty outdated hardware if you look at the specs 😂😂

I am using Huawei MatePad 10.4 2022, I still do not understand about microG. I just put it up just by watching how on TH-cam. I only noticed that TH-cam and TH-cam music work smoothly and can be updated using Apkpure or the Aurora store. But other Google apps don't work properly. Sometimes errors. My MatePad is a global model and I'm from Malaysia.

All these workarounds have its own flaws. I have tried them all, and in the end still gave up my huawei p60 pro. There will still be apps that won't work well depending on your region. Just too much hassle and potential security concerns.
