love this mark for Huss definitely one of the best spots i've fished for them. had 12 in one day there 2 years ago and lost about another 6. great depth of water to definitely a spot for braid
yeah it can be a bit of a nightmare at times. we tend to go there at the end of May or start of June or at the end of summer. We found another cracking spot for Huss last year Rodeen just up the coast a bit from Bere Island there a little road you can drive down. Never anyone there fishing. Not as deep of a mark but the Huss are much bigger for some reason all around 12lb and over. worth a cast or 2 if you are ever down that way

Great video Chris, and a neat trick with your baiting up, not seen that done before, but will be adopting it now. Those Bassboots smocks are probably the best lightweight waterproof smocks on the market, they'll certainly be put to the test over in Ireland 😂😂
Its a very handy little trick to steady the bait and give a very secure bait. The smock is great mine is fairly battered mind you lol I might be due a new one

That huss was the first cast we had a couple of dogs but it got freezing and started lashing so she wisely pulled the plug on filming and went to the hotel for the fire and a glass of well earned wine

Ya Mark she was brilliant specially considering it was so cold there. Lol ya the commands. There is a list of commands but the Gopro doesn't understand the accent lol I have some terrible fights with it but I have to edit them out 😂

The line on that reel is too full so when the shock leader gets to the top it sometimes spills over. I was too busy watching the fish to spot it lol. I thought the line parted first 😰😰

I find it very handy myself to keep the bait neat on the hook and the hook nice and exposed
