- Ooookay, this one has been a long run for sure. I love the musical, but my real obsession started when I saw a wonderful artist's (S. K. Michels) animatic of "Dangerous Game":

All it would take is stepping on broken glass, rusty metal or even a tiny scrape to the foot for Hyde/Jekyll to catch tetanus (or really any type of infection to be honest) and possibly die as a result.

That's kinda the point. Hyde knows he's unapologeticly horrible and he loves it. He's basically saying "jokes on these idiots. I actually want to go to hell!"

Gotta love how the book details something remarkably close to alcoholism gone awry, and everyone went, “Make it a hot monster transformation with more than one personality!!!!” Overly Sarcastic Productions actually did a wonderful visual approach to highlight this fact
It's a really cool animatic, but I think most people fail to realize what this song (and the scene from the book which it is based on) is about. It's about Hyde stalking, raping and murdering a woman. I know a lot of the comments are about how "hot" or "cute" Hyde is, but think about what he is - the physical manifestation of all of Jekyll's repressed darkness: all of his lust, all of his hatred, all his murderous or violent thoughts, every vile act that Jekyll has ever wanted to commit. Hyde isn't just Jekyll's alter ego - he's the literal embodiment of every evil Jekyll has every committed, thought about, or wanted to commit - he is evil incarnate.

Firstly! Wonderful job! Secondly, can we appreciate the fact that Hyde jumped off a building, somehow didn’t break his ankles, punched through glass and didn’t injure himself there either and then waltzed with a manikin in the streets of London at night for a while. Dang. The man’s durable. 😆

I think that’s a part of the serum along with being twice as happy and ten fold more wicked you also get superhuman speed strength and durability

I love how you turned the puppet into an old lady. This shows how Hyde thinks everyone to be just a puppet, with no significant part, ready to be gone at any time.

Wow this song is good I love how in this musical Hyde isn’t a different person from Jekyll but a dark version of himself we see this in the fact that he recognizes Lucy and has lustful feelings towards her witch Jekyll I imagine probably has but simply repressed as he is an engaged man but under the influence of the serum he forgets all of his morals

@@TheSpectator7 Yes, I'm planning to do more, since I love the musical, but I'm not quite sure yet which song, so I'll still take ideas. Though the next animatic I'll finish, is from Dracula, but that's just a smaller project since I like the song.
@@ohno7813 mmmhmm... Well I can't say all the songs from J&H are great, though as a whole they tell the story well, but the best that come to my mind are *I need to Know,* *Transformation,* *Murder, Murder* and *In his Eyes.*
@@TheSpectator7 "I need to know" is one of my favourites too. I also liked "Confrontation" and "Dangerous Game" but I'm quite indecisive
Jekyll, Hyde has escaped again...
This is incredible!!! The lighting and dramatic effects (especially the lightning towards the end) truly elevated this piece! This easily makes it onto my list of favorite animatics, and it has inspired me to further work on my own animatic! I hope to see more from you, keep up the great work

There’s a part in all of us that is best described as desire. That part inside many of us causes us to desire to do terrible things to those we consider enemies or threats, but it also causes us to desire other people, essentially to fall in love. These desires can be glaringly obvious to us, but sometimes we suppress them into our subconscious, meaning many of the evil things that we wish to commit our policed by our good natured instincts into the back of our minds. Many people consuming a story will typically root for the main characters because, one, they are someone that we relate to somehow, and two, they go on to do things that we wish we could do in our own lives. Those two aspects, however, are not limited to any character in particular, as long as the character in question has a level of depth that we can identify with. This is where truly evil characters can often shine, in their own lustrous fashion. In Hyde's case, he represents an uncivilized and perverted fantasy where a person suddenly becomes seemingly unstoppable, untouchable, and irresistible, finally allowed to rampage the world, loving, killing, building and destroying anything they please. Like a god, a selfish, yet blissful god, and it's that feeling of bliss that derives from these horrible deeds that people subconsciously fall in love with. Everyone in this world needs a release in some form, and it's because everyone in this world is under stress to some extent, but Hyde does not. He has no stress in any mental capacity, because he is released. He is free, in a sense that no sane man on Earth could comprehend. One who is living by someone else's rules isn't truly living, but Hyde is living purely by his own rules, and he is absolutely alive, living a fantasy that the wicked, greedy, selfish, and lustful parts of our minds yearn for desperately. Therefore, many people subconsciously find Hyde desirable simply because they find the amount of pleasure that he buries himself in to be thrilling and euphoric to fantasize.

Bruh this is underrated
If i have one problem with this. Its that Hyde is way to good looking. Hes described as repulsively ugly and disfigured in the stories. Hes also supposed to be small since Jekyll repressed him for so long. But i really like the rest of the animatic.
In the musical Hyde is also a handsome man
The don't say he's ugly, just that he has an unexplainable feeling of deformity. This could mean he feels uncanny or that his eyes don't match up etc. Because disabilities were not recognised back then
