We were at the salt plains the very same time y'all were!! My grandson saw y'all but you were leaving before we could get over to you to introduce ourselves. We were hoping to catch us or our truck in the background but no luck. We live in Muskogee. We love watching y'all and appreciate the clean family videos that are made.

Great father son outing.
I have learned lots about fishing from Luke on Catfish and Carp. Between Luke and Bluegabe, I'd say they have accounted for at least two dozen fish that I've caught that I wouldn't have caught otherwise lol. Thanks TH-cam!
I would have used one of those carp for cut bait to fish with. That will be a memorable outing for both you and Houston. I remember as a kid all the fishing trips over night my dad took me and my brother on

Love going on adventures with you guys. The throw net for the lids is great. The crystals were cool. I live in Salt Lake City, out near the salt flats and the Great Salt Lake. Lots of salt here, deeper than the top surface, but no cool crystals.

One week ago we had a horrible storm where we had 4inches of 2 inch sleet!
Dan see what You can do with solar power it is something I only pay for AC here in the house got everything on solar was glad I did buy the 2 generators last July as I went with out power 7 times in a month !!! LETS CATCH MORE FISH !!! CARP can be cut on up for bait for fishing !!! Fun finding those crystals been on that area digging like a kid in adult life it was GREAT!!!
Only chili we buy here is the Hormel, with beans and without for chili cheese dogs (shredded cheddar). Nothing beats Hormel chili IMO. Especially when I make mom's stuffed manicotti recipe (hotdogs, manicotti shells, Colby Jack cheese, Hormel bean and no bean chili and mozzarella cheese). Thinking need to go to store and get the rest of the stuff I need for the salmon grilling packets for supper tonight and get the stuff for the stuffed manicotti dish.
You must be near Cherokee Oklahoma and the salt mines in salt flats I was there once when I was little!

Catching carp with the throw net seems more efficient that using it to catch bait to use to catch carp. Just sayin’.

I loved that comment that Houston made…you know a kid is excited and having a terrific time when he says “Dad this is one of the best days of my life!” It was super cute to see him with the outdoor boys and the walker farm fam. I just became a sub. To the walker farm fam when the Adler farm suggested their channel. Pretty similar interests and fun to watch. I think it’s pretty cool that the TH-cam families from all over will get together on a common adventure. The walker mom was the only female!! No wonder she was on the kitchen and cooking detail although her hubby sure helped a ton too! Many hands make light work!!
Those crystals are very cool! Out of curiosity is any of the salt from those salts plains harvested and sold?? I’m definitely going to do some research to find out how the salt got there in the first place! Very neat!🥰🙏🏻🇨🇦
Brings back great memories to this 80 year old who has loved to fish all his life. When i was 11 or 12 or so my grandfather took me down to a Sperry Flour mill that dumped it's Wheat chaff into the Napa River. It was a warm August night and the water was boiling with huge carp. He showed me how to cast a doulbe-jointed Striper plug that had 4 huge treble hooks on it. He said cast as far as you can and quickly start reeling in as fast as you can. About my 10th cast.......Wham! I had hooked a carp in the belly. That 20# or so fish fought like a 50# Tarpon. From then on, a couple of times a week in my teenage summers I would snag 1 or 2 Carp and sell them for 15 to 25 cents to folks who lived along my bike ride home. That 25 cents bought me a pound of frozen Sardines at the local bait shop and I was set to fish for Stripers for the rest of that day.

Houston is such a great kid. Tell him I bet the outdoor boys felt the same way about meeting and hanging out with him as he felt! We have been watching your channel for a long time. Keep up the good work! We have also been a fan of catfish and carp and then were there when he started the outdoor boys. It's something how much the kids have grown, but the parents look the same! My daughter has a small TH-cam channel and I am mostly behind the camera. She is nine and does a lot of toys and stuff. Thanks for the great collaboration.

My childhood backyards were Yosemite and Glacier National Parks. I can still smell the redwood forests and the fresh pine trees. Y’all are awesome folks!
When Houston gets much older, he can live off the land. He loves catch clean and cook. You could see how it hurt to let that catfish go. Silly rabbit! Love seeing all those boys fish. Our future hunters. Love it!

I miss the days taking my son camping just father and son. Houston needs a tumbler to shine up those crystals.

I believe those are not 'hard' enough & would just shatter to bits in a tumbler. Still really cool specimens to find & share a rockhounding trip with some friends. Be neat to research OK + agates & see what happens.. Though the creek seems to yield some neat finds too.
