I've used 0.5 mm size, Anchor brand cotton thread. You can choose any kind of thread and sizes. There will be a difference in the braided design accordingly.

For this, it took around 6 to 8 hours to do. If your earphones are short it won't take long to finish. Once you get the hang of it, it's easy to do. 🥰😍

Multi colour is hard since you need to be cautious about leaving long length threads underneath and securing each colour. But looks beautiful.. Single colour is easy to work and can finish quickly.

They will not get harm since it's just like a upper layer. And as we are using tread it's not much of a harm. There is no burning the ends, we use glue so there'll be no harm. But when we redo, if you are using a blade to remove it quickly, should be very careful since the cut may go deeper and damage the earphones.

It depends on the length of your headphone. For the headphone I did here, it took about 1/3 of this thread ball I have used.

Yes it will. I have braided to a damaged one with cut rubber and it still works well. As long as the wire is safe it'll work well. 👍🏼

Yes wool can be used as well. It will effect on the design. Will look a bit bigger. That's all.
