    Might be a good idea to weld a pipe flange on the bottom for a base plate so you can secure it to a bench top also

    Good explanation of your process and use of the hammers. It will help me as I work with 1.75 to 2 inch axles which finally started moving better when I got frustrated and use my 7 lb straight pien.

    Similar technique could be use for making small garden tool ,masons hammer, etc.

    I think this will work for me making bodkin arrow heads and fishing spear heads.
    I need to make various sizes of this, I have an NC farriers 70lb anvil and my horn is a bit wide and not rounded enough..

    Where did you buy that big Block to scrape your piece to keep your work clean. Only been able to find thin 1 inch wide ones.
