The Goodfellas one-shot story reminded me of the story behind Sergio Leone and the (as Quention Tarantino would have it) "glorious Technichscope" camera. I read somewhere (if that's not true, forgive me and please correct me) that he was filming with a regular camera and that broke, so the only thing they had to keep going was a techniscope camera and so he adapted his movie to go with that, liked the result and that gave rise to his amazing ultrawide shot style. Hope that's a true story, because that again would prove what happens when people of vision and genius are faced with unforeseen odds. Thanks and will be making this recipe soon (except the veal, I'll have to replace it with some lean pork, veal is extremely hard to get around where I live).
