Yes!!!! I am 47 and still LOVE the process of “getting ready”. It’s almost like a meditation for me.
I was just talking to my coworkers about makeup. They always compliment me on how my makeup always looks great and they don’t understand how I get up at 4am every morning to workout and do my makeup before work. I told them the same thing! It’s my me-time. I don’t do it because I think I need makeup, I do it because I love makeup and I love doing my makeup. It’s therapeutic for me and makes me feel like my best self for the day ❤
Yes! I think we all have different things where... to others, they might seem like a chore, but to us they're just a hobby or sincere interest. Some people love cleaning & organizing, some people love to exercise, some love having a garden... a chore to one person might be an absolute love for someone else! :D

Nothing beats being at the ocean on the beach. The Oregon coast is my happy place. The salty air, the soothing sounds of the waves and the sand under your bare feet are healing to the soul.
Agree! WA and OR beaches are so pretty. We live about an hour from the ocean beaches in WA State. The ocean always calms me.

That’s not true. Maybe it isn’t for you, because you’re pretty. When you’re fat, strangers will take videos and mock you if you’re not covered from head to toe.

Yes!!! A blank canvas daily. I love that whole process. Between picking colors and putting it all together, it’s a form of meditation for me
POOL 100% but I love the option to sit on balcony and enjoy the views of the beach while sipping on my coffee. My favorite time on the beach is late evening. Cooler and less crowded with amazing sunsets. Enjoy!

That’s exactly why I do my makeup, I really really love the process of doing it I find it very relaxing. I get out of my head for the time it takes , I deal with serious chronic health issues and when I’m doing my makeup it’s time spent out of my head which can be a really dark place sometimes.

When I'm at the beach, I never set an alarm, but I always seem to wake up early enough for sunrise walk. The beach is mostly deserted, and I always get the best sunrise photos.

I always say makeup is my temporary tattoo. I can wash it off and be someone new the next day. I have always loved makeup. 55 now. Yep, I always bring makeup on vacation. I want options.

I LOVE the process of putting the makeup. Saturday is my favorite day because I’m not necessarily going anywhere. That’s my day to play since I’m not rushing to work or church. It’s very cathartic for me. I recently went on a few day getaway and didn’t wear hardly any makeup. When I got home, I really enjoyed that first day back to my routine.

I’m 67, and I don’t enjoy putting on makeup anymore,so I only wear it when I feel like I have to. I do enjoy watching someone else do their makeup, and I’ve learned some tricks for when I do wear makeup. So, thank you for doing these videos.

I cannot tell how how much you exactly explained how I feel about makeup.
I don't do any makeup content on social media but I LOVE doing makeup just becoz I love doing it. Not for the glam or for always looking put together but for the process of it, I also love to have options in each category😂 and it's always the most exciting part to pack my makeup for traveling. The makeup bag ends up taking the biggest chunk of my travel suitcase 😂 Unfortunately I rarely find anyone understands my passion towards makeup in my circle, they all just think I want to be a makeup artist and am showing off my skills😂

I'm from Michigan, so I love our Great Lakes. I've been to the ocean once or twice in South Carolina, but I'm more of a freshwater lake gal.(No salt, no sharks, no worries, lol.) Pools can be fun, too! I enjoy going in one on vacation at a hotel. It's all water therapy, which I find rejuvenating! I gotta say, Emily, you are dedicated to be doing these videos on your vacation. I’m more of a mountain girl. Growing up vacations were often spent in Colorado visiting my maternal side of the family.
I too enjoy the process of putting on my makeup. It’s like playing dress up every day.
Beach - grew up going to Cape Cod....the sounds, the water, the waves...

I'm a beach person for sure. Grew up near Lake Erie so the beach was close by during the summer but frozen in the winter. Its like going to a fresh water ocean or at least a sea with waves, sand, the sounds of gulls and smell of Hawaiian Tropic. Its a happy place to be❤

We went to Gulf Shores July 6-13. Lovely time. I am leaving this Sunday for a few days in Pensacola. The beach is my favorite place of all time! If you want ice cream again, I go to Scoops every time I am down there. It's a tradition.
Emily I love makeup too! I give my children and husband so much attention that making myself pretty I feel good. Its therapy and makes me happy. I bring a lot of makeup too on vacation. 😊
I used to be a beach person, until Covid. We live in Baldwin county where Gulf Shores is and now I’m a pool person because getting to the beach here in a summer with traffic and tourists is a nightmare. It’s awesome if you are staying at a hotel or condo right on the beach but it sucks to live here in the summer. It wasn’t like that up until about Covid. I do hope y’all had the best time on your vacation though!!
On a side note: make breakfast reservations for the Pirates breakfast at The Hangout. Your kids will LOVE it!

Matt’s is the best! The owner told us they bake pies and donuts fresh to cut up and put the pieces in the ice cream flavors. Key lime and glazed donut were amazing! Enjoy your vacation 🏖️

I have to tell you right off the bat....that pastel outfit in thumbnail reminded me of my absolute favorite sneakers by Reebok that i wore in the 90s. Ugh i wish i still had them. They were pastel color blocked. Great look!!

I grew up on Lake Michigan and my Grandma and neighbors had pools, so i was fortunate & had both options for a lot of my childhood. We had a boat for years (my dad would anchor offshore & we'd swim to the beach to play), so I DO love the beach, but as I get older the pool is just more convenient...less walking, no sand, you can float on a floatie & not worry about drifting out to sea if you doze off 😂

I brought a ton of makeup to a 2 day family camping trip. Doing my makeup is one of the best parts of the day, why would I want to give that up on vacation, I should be doing MORE! 😅

We love beach vacations! Visited Destin twice, and it’s great, but Clearwater Beach is more walkable with restaurants on the beach. I love that blue water and white sand!
I usually wear tinted sunscreen rather than foundation and just less of everything.

We just got back from a week at the Jersey Shore! We are a beach family. We live in NJ and it takes us just about 2 hours to get there. There were a few days that I was quiet luxury makeup and the rest of vacation I was a 🤡! Either way, we all had a blast! Even our doggo had a great time!

Yes, I totally agree with you. I love the beach and I love packing my makeup but it’s hard to pick which eyeshadow palette to take with you on vacation and I always packed two lip liners and one gloss and tulips and a course my hourglass palette that has the blushes and the bronzer and my rare beauty. I love the cream of it.❤❤ be safe everyone out there and love your videos😊😊

I am right there with you- I just love doing my makeup. Do I always wear it? No. Do I sometimes sit down right before I'm about to wash my face just to play around with makeup? Yes. I limit my makeup on a daily basis for work (keep it "professional"), but when covid hit and I was only seeing people through video I went all out with fun looks and lots of makeup. I will definitely be bringing multiple options of every category on vacation in a week bc that's what makes me happy ❤

Gulf Shores, Alabama is where we go almost every year. We plan to retire there! It is such a wonderful city.
Funny my husband and I just made a plan to go for some good ice cream this weekend. I only crave it a few times a year so I don’t usually have it in the freezer because I end up throwing most of it out once I’m satisfied. I love the rich custard ice cream.
I love packing my makeup. I will usually think for weeks about what kind looks I want to wear for whatever events and activities are planned. Good excuse to rifle through and admire my treasures too.

I use that Sonia bag as an emergency car bag. I keep sunscreen, bug spray, band aids, thermometer, any meds for the kids and us may need, hand sanitizer, wipes. Holds a lot and easy to keep in the car.

When I travel I bring the revolution Emily edit full face pallet. Perfect large mirror that stays where you put it (doesn’t need to be propped) and lots of options!

The Rimmel Provocolips is the absolute best long wearing lipstick. I have two colours at the moment and they last all day, through eating etc.

I'm a pool fan. I love sunset at the beach but I don't like sharks. Makeup on point as usual. I need to buy that Rimmel lip combo it's both beautiful and cheap, you can't beat that. Sounds like you've had a great start to your vacation. God bless and be safe.
