Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out that video. I know the tube is a little "wonky" It could still use some more work. From the responses I've learned the bridge isn't normally used in this technique. If you try this one yourself I wouldn't recommend the bridge but would recommend smaller globes to practice and of course all of equal size before you start. Thanks again for watching and Stay Melty!

Hey Matt , cool stuff .Cads are prob the hardest pallet to work so good job .I almost always encase them to make them work easier & protect them . Tips - GET IT HOTTER ! Is your torch running on bottled oxy ? up the pressures a bit maybe ?
Torch mounted L Marver would help you out I think , Blastshield sell ones with a glass face shield too .
Not really a bridging exercise ,much better to use two handles , plug one side & blow other side ,but with both hands spinning together (same size handles helps a lot) Blow hose is nice ,but moving a super hot ,double handled blank to your face to blow is great practice in control ...The Marver helps a lot with this.
Slow down ,set up your moves .Like rounding out the end of the punty before using it to grab glass from the centre of a bubble to pop a hole .I noticed you used a rod that trash on the end to do this & the hole popped off axis .Take time to line up that touch & the finished product will be much cleaner :)
    Happy Melting dude

Hey Matt! Thanks for all the amazing videos. I love that I get to learn more behind just blowing a piece.

Hey Matt, that was a really nice piece. I also appreciate the great words of wisdom regarding self-criticism. Love your videos.

A bridge isn’t t but does make it easier if you have a problem with even rotation

is there a reason youre supposed to attach it when theyre in the bubble shape instead of normal tubing shape?

I wouldn’t recommend bridging on this technique. Look up the ryno torch talk video where he makes a duck rig.

I'll admit I need to practice my technique on this one, it didn't use traditional methods. But it does give you a basic idea of what its about, turning spheres into tubes.

Work smarter not harder. Not trying to hate on ya because everyone has to learn. but there is no need to post vids of your learning curve. All it will do is make people think this is the proper way to do things and spread misinformation. Now that ya got the basics down take a class from a true master that understands the science behind how glass works like a Roger Parramore or many like him . His class changed my life all those years ago. I stopped doing things because i think it will work and started doing what the glass wanted using the proper system, order and process. Good luck in your future work .

Tom S he's actually helped me out a whole bunch. when he clearly says "i don't know" about a certain part that's enough to let me know that it may not be the sure fire way to do that part & that's perfectly fine, he also mentions the correct technique in the comments. in glass blowing there is a million ways to achieve the same result. art is about expression. this isn't scientific glass & doesn't have to be perfect.. matt is a "master" in my eyes. he takes his time to put these videos out & help us out for very little recognition or pay, he has far less views than what he deserves. i appriciate the hell out of him & what he does. & i do not appriciate your douchey comment!
