  • SmartRace for Carrera Digital - Exploring Championship Mode Functions
In this episode we delve into the various functions of the Championship Mode in SmartRace for Carrera Digital.
The episode was inspired by a recent live stream on Conquest Racing where Rahul (Conquest), Marty (Two Lines Speedway) and Jorge (Area 51 Raceway) were discussing the app.
We go through all the modes and some of the intricacies for using the Championship Mode to get race results. We explore Serial Mode, Exchange Mode, Party Mode and Normal Mode.
I brought some virtual friends along for the ride while going over the options and testing. It was late when I created the video and was waxing nostalgic on the great Slot Car Hobby Community.

Thank you for sharing all this information.
I tried to run my first championship on friday night, but had all the assignments messed up.
I also didn't realise that I could (and sometimes needed to) code cars to controllers for the next race.
    Thanks again.
    All the best

Thanks for these insights! I've been curious if Championship mode was worth the extra money, and it seems it will be once I get a stable of racers. 😄

Nice vid..I really enjoy the smart race app, but cant fully understand the VSC feature .. I do know that when you press the pace car button it comes out of the pit area , your car slows down but isnt it not supposed to count laps also..? anyhow any advice would help.. 👍

We haven't really used the pace car or vsc functions. Our races are typically done from a standing start. The control unit pace car button brings out a car which is programmed to do laps. I think this is useful for rolling starts. Pressing the pace button again brings that car into the next pit stop area.
I believe the vsc function in smart race is mostly used to slow down the cars to help keep the race moving during a multi-car pile-up or a minor track repair.
You could possibly try contacting Marc at Smartrace for more info. He usually responds within a day or two.
