      Dulce CUEVAS it's a key that helps get out the dye out from the tube :) kind of like what they make to get all the toothpaste out but the key is used to wind out the dye out so you get all the product, hope this helps

      Dulce CUEVAS it's something you put at the top of the color tube and it rolls down to get every last drop of color out of the tube. Go to Sally's and ask for one, I got one today at Sally's for 2.99. Think what you would use to roll out a tube of toothpaste

    after you mix bleach you have like 30 mins to use it cause after like 30 mins the bleach isnt active anymore, so after you mix it you gotta use it fast. longer you let the bleach sit it will puff up some and u dont want that. But you did a good job 😉

    This video helped me so much!!!! Omg! I have been working towards this result that you just had for probably 3 years. Every single time I go to a salon they tell me my hair cannot handle a bleaching and I never leave with the hair that I want. So for a long time I have been trying to do this on my own and this video was exactly what I needed to make my final decisions and to get the guts to finally do it on my own. I'm getting ready to put the toner on but I can already tell I'm going to have result similar to yours and I cannot thank you enough for doing this. Thank you so much

  • @leresis729
    @leresis729 7 ปีที่แล้ว +20

    I was just about to comment and say you need to get the Ion booster too for your bleach it's awesome! But then you started talking about it haha! I just got some of that new Ion toner but in the shade "Spring Blossom" It's the pinky gray shade I am so excited to use it but I didn't read the directions about needing 10 volume developer I just assumed it was the usual 20 so I have to wait until I go get some tomorrow. Just for reference for anyone watching that has fine and thin hair like me, putting the coconut oil in your hair and the Ion booster in your bleach before processing doesn't affect the lifting and it helps so much with damage. I even put the coconut oil on an hour or two before I start the process to soak in if I have the time. Awesome video! Now I'm even more excited! Your hair turned out so pretty and shiny!

I absolutely love Ion products now (: this being first time in my 20yr cosmo exp ever using. If going for that platinum silverish blonde the Ion oil lightner box kit followed up with 2 boxes Ion Snow Cap toner shampooed out with purple shampoo 😊👍 ntm completely surprised my hair was still intact this time didn't even fall out 😂

    I used quick blue for my first bleach, ran out. Went to Sally’s the next day and they didn’t have any more quick blue tubs so I bought the salon care blue powder bag instead, FUCKED any hair up cuz I used 30 vol instead of 20 by accident (I didn’t read the directions). Had orange hair for 3 days cuz I was too scared to bleach again but did it anyway, my sister had this under the sink the whole time but I was hesitant to try it since it was cream bleach. And WOW I am sooooo impressed. I used a 20 vol for not even 10 mins and all the brassy Orange and yellow grossness is gone!! And little to no damage. So my hair is perfect for toning now.
    I’m soooo freaking happy this is gonna be what I use the next bleach cuz I’m trying to go platinum and I think it’s gonna work!

    Please please pleeeeeeeeeeeease do not leave any hair dyeing/bleaching product on your hair for more than 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, it looses strength and you are just leaving damaging chemicals on your hair. That can cause serious breakage.

    I'm a barber student. & the 40 volume developer is only for colors never for bleach, cause it may make your hair turn different tones of light, or really really damaged & maybe it may fall out lol. So 30 it's the highest & 20 the safest.

    • @LadiiJustus
      @LadiiJustus 6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Paraiso De Flores lol things must have changed because last I checked as a cosmetology student, 20 is for deposits I.E. color and 30 to 40 is for lifting I.E. bleaching. 40 is the highest you can safely use to lighten hair but your hair should be in really good condition. 40 has never in the history of hair been used for color. Barbers cut hair.... I haven't met too many tht color and haven't been to cosmetology school to learn the entire scientific process behind hair coloring. Again though.. maybe something has changed.

      Dude, I'm so glad I watched this video! I've never tried bleaching before and the chick at Sally's told me to use the 4 vol. developer with the Brazillian hair I bought! The hair is a dark brown, but I'd far rather err on the side of bleaching that takes longer and be able to control the color than one where I'll have to rush and get FOUR bundles done in under 20 minutes and fry $150+ worth of hair. Another video even mentioned how the 40 was so harsh it straightened the curls out of her bundles!

    • @I_am_divanicole

      Yeah ummm you’re definitely passing out bad information.

    • @DanteVelasquez
      @DanteVelasquez 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      40 can be used on level 1-3 if they don't lift well and you want to lift them up to a 7 or above in one shot, but it is damaging and it needs to be well supervised. Otherwise, 30 is good for aggressive lifting and 20 is standard. As bleach/lightner only strips and does not deposit, it really pulls out those color molecules so 40 is overkill in most cases. Highlifts, on the other hand, will require 40 because they do not have the lifting power that bleach does unless you are only lifting a few levels, then you can use 30. Opting for a lower volume whenever possible is always better and gentler than a higher one as a rule of thumb.

    • @DanteVelasquez
      @DanteVelasquez 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Christina Davis for extension hair 40 is required because it likely has been processed with something to even out the color and a 40 volume would be necessary to lift previously pigments. And even then sometimes you have to lift twice to get to your desired level. Sometimes the virgin hair you get is not virgin at all and has been colored with fabric dyes to conceal grays so make sure your source is really virgin hair. On true virgin hair, you can use 30 volume. Remy hair has been colored so 40 is absolutely necessary there.

      Dulce CUEVAS i couldn't believe how much my hair lifted after just one use. i first used color oops waited a week. coconut oil the night b4 bleaching. waited another week. coconut oil/bleached again.(my hair was still in good shape) i managed to get it as light as inside a banana peel. followed it up with the toner and Ive finally achieved a beautiful platinum. by far, the best stuff in my opinion. worth every penny. i went from a deep burgundy to platinum. This stuff is amazing!! my hair actually feels soft and the toner made it so shiny. i have very thick curly hair so i ended up using the whole tube of bleach. lol. I'm definitely sticking to this routine for touch ups for my roots.

Each time that you go shower to get the product out do you shampoo and condition each time or is it strictly rinsing the product out until your shower water runs clear (like box dye instructions usually say)? It’s thickening because you’re leaving it out for too long and it’s loosing its potency and you’re not supposed to bleach on wet hair it comes out uneven..

    How long did you wait to use the bright white bleach cream again? I am also working on getting the red out of my hair. I used L'Oreal hi color high lights red for 2 years and I used this tonight and I am no where close to where I want to be and my hair looks horrid orange.

    Hey, Makenzie! I am in the same boat as you, going from red to blonde, and so far I am mostly honey ash with a slight red/pink tinge from the very barely remaining manic panic. I was thinking a bleach cap with 20 vol dev, and booster. Did you use a permanent to dye your hair red, and when the ion toner faded did the red tinge resurface?

  • @srichmond32111
    @srichmond32111 7 ปีที่แล้ว +23

    you are not supposed to bleach on anything but dry hair. water stops the oxidizing of the lifting process. you will never see a stylist lighten wet hair. you also should do roots last bc of the heat from your head. heat speeds up the processing time. adding things to hair color and bleach other than developers can cause the product to not work correctly. be careful when telling others false information. just bc it worked for you doesnt mean its not going to be a disaster for someone else

      People bleach their hair wet but only if it’s super light. Also that ion booster she used is meant to be used with bleach and color.

      Sorry Sam, you’re wrong. Bleaching on wet hair gives a result and coverage like nothing you’ve ever seen. Product doesn’t matter. Wet hair bleaching is the new sliced bread. Talk and train with the big guys. Tang et al.
      Research, educate and learn, it’ll blow your mind girl. The results are unbelievable. I know there’s a tutorial on here but I can’t think of his name. Pals with Guy Tang. Try searching bleaching wet hair. Truly amazing and outcome is crazy perfect, no demarcation and next to zero damage with a low vol. crazy right? But it’s true. Hope u find it. Sorry I can’t think of it cuz it sounds like a unicorn but it’s 100% true! Swear!

    I don’t know what any of this is or means. It seems you’ve experimented with your hair a lot. I’ve never done anything to mine and it’s thinning but I have that ion lightener thinking I would do something finally but seems it needs other components so now I’m convinced I’ll go bald if I try. Well done to you tho! These videos are enlightening.

    10 v and protien filler make it a blended demi color only and 20 and higher actually deposit into hair shaft which will make it darker and permanent no matter what toner or demi color you use

    What amount of peroxide did you use? I have red pigment in my hair so use 30 volume peroxide with a bleach packet for on scalp and leave it on for an hour and it bleaches almost white, sometimes I have to use a toner so I bought the white bright icy white with 30 volume cut with 2 parts water as directed to take it down to 10.

    The lightening booster is designed to be added to color, not bleach, it's meant to add lift to permanent colors. It's not a protector nor a bond multiplier, Olaplex is patented.

    • @FallonZoey
      @FallonZoey 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stephanie Rubach Actually bc of your comment i decided to look the booster up on the sallys site. I was gonna tell her there was no way it was generic olaplex but i didnt want to be wrong & was thinking "who told her this"...while it still doesnt compare to olaplex when i looked it up it did say it "repairs & helps generate new bonds for stronger hair", it DOES give directions for using w/ lightener/bleach, & theres even a quote at the bottom from someone they say "serves Red Salon" that says.... "This product gives me the confidence that I am able to safely do my hair color at home, without damage, without breakage. It’s my hair color insurance policy". Olaplex is also referred to as a hair insurance policy...im shocked so i wanted to shared with you. i found it on the SallyBeauty website, heres the link: www.sallybeauty.com/step-one-booster/SBS-405017,default,pd.html?list=Search_Results#q=ion&start=1
      It says even more than what i said here. Look under details.

    DO NOT use developer with the toner you are supposed to apply it directly to your hair. It specifically states on the product do not mix with peroxide and the developer contained peroxide. The girl at Sally’s told me because it’s so thick you can mix with a bit of conditioner. Glad it turned out great though.

    • @meganjones6354
