@@charlionfish They inspired/copied each others all the time back then. I don't have a problem with it though, as long as there's a good outcome, makes more good music to enjoy. Funny how they heard of music from so far away. There's also a Ranma 1/2 op song based on the intro of a 1982 french show.
@@Nekodaisuki88 I see. Perhaps then the sound of this song was indeed inspired by Les bêtises. "Amaryllis" was written by Masao Urino (lyrics) and composed by Kazuhiko Katou (Music). I suppose Kazuhiko Katou was familiar with French Music back then. I feel the same way as you do about it though, as long as the outcome is good then it's fine unless a song is outright plagiarized/copied. In this instance however, presuming that Kazuhiko truly was familiar with Les bêtises, I consider this to be inspired rather than copied.
