17:30 If the Arthur Godfrey Is this one What Is A Boy A-Side, and What Is A Girl B-Side. Fetches a lot of money In the UK. Played a lot on the Radio back In the 70's 80's. I have never see a Copy In the wild, and been through Millions of 78's. Very rare here.. The others were quite nice as well. Thanks for sharing.
Frank Crumit recorded Little Wonder as well as full priced Columbia records. His Oh by Jingo is on 10" Columbia from 1920. I suspect he did the Little Wonder version at the same time.
Enjoyed the video! A few years ago, I bought a batch of about 60-70 10" 78s at a yard sale. Found three pre war Blues records in that lot. Sometimes you get lucky. Any good 45s in that box?
After you listen to them, they make a great shellac if you soak the pieces in alcohol. Also, they give off an incredible perfume when you've got a crowd around your fire pit.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but I guess you never know which once-worthless 78 will be used in a movie and suddenly become desirable. Look at that track that ends The Shining. Would anyone want (or at least realize they want) that record if not for The Shining? I admit that's the whole reason it ended up in my Discogs Wantlist, haha. You also got me with the Beatles joke, haha. I had the video going off to the side, but immediately looked over at the screen thinking you found one of those Indian 78s!

Nice selection and interesting video. Some great finds in there. Thanks 👍 😀

Lot's of great old labels in that box. The Christmas one alone is well worth the three bucks but there are MANY great ones in there!

Good Lord! Great find! And those records look like they are in great shape too! Now some of my records are dated....1902. 1903.
You remind me of myself. I love record shopping, & collecting, from all eras. I had to subscribe.
OLD RUGGED CROSS a great song Praise Jesus
That Goldkette “Idolizing” has Bix on it. the best in this bunch.
Indeed.
Great historic finds
Nice!

Alcohol destroys shellac...
Shellac isn't the main ingredient, it's only the glue that holds all the different powders together.

Great way you let them just fall. Every record you put on that pile was distracting waiting for them to tip.
3:17 this record is like a drill, it is black and Decca.
Great
9:55 It seems, you have to learn it this way.

6:18 someone was hungry
5:33 You scare me, when you stack records this way.
Are you gonna put them on TH-cam so we can hear them ?
2:08 and now the doggie records...
what do you do with the ones you don't want? 78s are such a hassle all things considered and i hate seeing them broken in second hand shops
You sell them online duh.
You have something against Russ Morgan?
Personal beef with Decca and Russ Morgan
Who doesn't?

I hope you'll give these a WASH before you play 'em! (Use a medium bristle toothbrush & diluted dishwashing liquid!)
So you bought a Shit load of 78's with not one tune worth listening. I wish you more luck next time.🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for taking the time to express your negative comment. It's so incredibly interesting.
