oh no... I didn't see any membrane underneath that drypack, please tell me you aren't relying on redgard on drypack on osb as waterproofing. If that IS the case, i'm sorry to say that you are going to have a very bad day/week/month in the future at some point.
Sure, we first framed out the tub, since ut was going to be tiled it we added what we think is additional support. Then we used backerboard to make the enclosure, follow with a few coats of red guard, then tiled it up.
Good job guys, keep progressing. and thank for sharing once again
Good job the tub looks nice
Thanks
I know what the little black x's are, spacers. What are the Yellow ones, and what do you do with them?
So it’s just an oversized curb since there is no drain cover to fill the tub . Or did I miss that ?
Hi, did you apply the red guard directly to the sand on shower floor ? If so was it a simple pour? Or did you spread it with something? Great vid
We didn't use a form so we didn't use sand. We use a mortar mix and then the red guard, several coats...no leaks so far
How much and what type of mortar mix did you guys use?
@@davidcason3915 it was a common deck mud. Like 4 in 1 from Lowes it looked liked.
Amazing job bro 👍
GREAT VIDEO! So it's been three years, how's it holding up/
Beautiful!
This is neat yall.
Loved what you did here. Could you please tell me which shower drain and stopper did you use or where did you get them. Thank you!
We used a shower drain for now...couldn't find a stopper for the tub yet, since we made it

I want to do a bath tub like this!!
No hot mop or pan? Just a paint on coating? That's gonna leak! Maybe not immediately, but in a few years it will for sure...
Im wondering how its holding up now..
They could and probably should do a pan liner with this sort of design.
Its been 11 months and we are still good 👍
Lovely is this a special type of tiles you used inside the tub?

Great job guys. we need your help at my house!
Did you use a liner at all when building the base?
Good job 👍🏼can I have the information where to get a drain like yours, thank you
Thanks ! Got it from Home depot Oatey PVC Shower Drain with Chrome Barrel and Square
@@ProjectPennyLane Can the drain be stoped to fill the bath with water?
I have a question. Is your house a slab or pier and beam foundation?
Pier and beam
How did you build the bath tub itself?
Sure, we first framed out the tub, since ut was going to be tiled it we added what we think is additional support. Then we used backerboard to make the enclosure, follow with a few coats of red guard, then tiled it up.
