    Congratulations. People like me only get to buy a hatchback even though love to have a Gurkha due to easy maintenance. Love this machine alot !

      Thanks Abhinav for kind words. There are also other options on market, like Bolero, Thar, DUSTER AWD and D max etc. But I agree the choice is quite limited these days.

    Nice car man! Gurkha is something, Which is not so glamorous and doesn't strive to seek attention but does every bit without any mur mur, This is the charm which this thing attract me. Iam waiting for the five door version of New Gurkha. Next year force may launch, Meanwhile new Gurkha has massive presence than Merc GLC if parked along. I feel connected to it somehow. Nothing is great about it but just that non so glamorous stance will make us a great partner . Cool

    Nice video. Please share your views on highway cruising when traveling for 12-14 hrs in a day. And at what rpm it does 90kmph on 5th gear ?

    • @GavaOverlandLife
      @GavaOverlandLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Highway cruising feedback on Gurkha. It feels really comfortable on highways. It can easily go upto 90-100kmph but after then it struggles to build up the speed. 80kmph and 2000rpm where engine feels relaxed and maximum fuel efficiency can be achieved.
      With this speed there shouldn't be any issues for highway cruising of 12-14 hrs. Regarding RPM corresponding to speeds, 90kmph means ~2200rpm.

      @@GavaOverlandLife Thanks for the review on highway cruising. Good to know that cruising at 90 kph is not an issue. I am considering 5 door Gurkha as my next vehicle.

    We had Tempo Trax back in 90s, I would like to buy this and get back to Force(Tempo) Family, Can you please let me know the safety features of this vehicle.

    • @GavaOverlandLife
      @GavaOverlandLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great to know. This is very basic on the safety features. There isnt more than the safety belts. Newer versions may get Air bags and ABSEBD.

    How reliable is Gurkha and is it still challenging to get the spare parts...
    Will you consider any one to wait and buy the new bs6 Gurkha or any used Gurkha?

    • @GavaOverlandLife
      @GavaOverlandLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maintaining Gurkha is quite challenging for a working professional. Spare parts availability and service scheduling is tedious. Force isnt known for accessibility. But if you stock the consumable items and ensure access to a force mechanic, Gurkha can be nice lifestyle vehicle.
      I wd advice to buy new Gurkha, as for older models you will certainly have more challenge to source parts.

    • @AN-ci6iy
      @AN-ci6iy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GavaOverlandLife brother what sort of consumable items are there to stock for hard times?

    • @GavaOverlandLife
      @GavaOverlandLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There cannot be a comprehensive list as such. But from experience so far and shortage of parts, you can stock wheel bearings, propeller crosses, Air filters, Oil Filters, Fuel filters, Engine oil, Brake oil, Coolant, brake pads, clutch plates, fan belts fuses, etc.
      Basically,plan your parts purchase well in advance.

      The product is exceptionally good. Has best in class suspension. But for long term ownership you will need to maintain the spares yourself. Force dealer has limitations to make the spares available in time.

      Comfort and family usage is spot on for Gurkha. Ample space inside, roomy cabin and comfort on all seats including the rear ones. Overall 8 out of 10 for family.
