$179 well spent! Heavy son of gun but I have a plan for that. Stays in tune and sound every bit as good as my real tele when split. As a humbucker guitar it absolutely BARKS!
Thanks Shane, being a stand up player I couldn’t deal with the weight either. Ended up selling it for what I paid... passed on the good deal. My buddy at work just got one, really nice feeling guitar. Artist now offers a thin-line but I don’t really have room for more stuff. Love your channel - you’ve never made a disparaging remark about anyone and I really respect that. Cheers!
@@thatpodcastchap - yep, that was a nice moment :-) I've always liked him, super nice and a never a mean word. I'll check out those Holland Guitars - thanks!!
Love seeing your comments on other posts Shane. I agree, most Artist guitars seem very well built but definitely heavier than the guitar they 'copy'. Great review old guy 😊
I have one. Beautiful guitar. Australian company and design and manufactured in Indonesia. Only thing I can fault (and it’s not really a fault) is its incredibly heavy weight. But all in all I think that for 170 American dollars it’s better than most guitars I’ve ever played. Artist are a very impressive company. I’m lucky that their Sydney shop is only a ten minute drive from me so I picked it up right away. Love it.
Very Cool, Thankyou. Awesome Demo/Review, and awesome playing. I have now had my Artist Guitars TC59 for 3 years also, since choosing this guitar as my re-entry to Electric Guitar after years of only playing acoustic for years. WOW, was so Impressed with everything about dealing with Artist Guitars. The Build Quality, Finish and Playability was all outstanding and exceeded my expectations big time. I now own a few Artist Guitars and all are the same exceptional quality and just a pleasure to play and Customer Service has been outstanding. All the best. Cheers.
Read the reviews and was curious how they felt. Couldn’t believe it but two nights ago someone I know pulled one out to play. Damn impressive guitar. The neck is beautiful with rolled edges and perfect thickness for what I like. We passed it around and we were all impressed with the quality. Unfortunately I don’t need another guitar or I’d grab one.
@@anteburazin69 it's a C neck. I think a 14 radius. It is not glazed and It is a bolt on neck. String through body, 4+ kilogrammes and total weight...! It's not quite a satin finish on the back of neck , but close enough
You've definately Trumped with that one there , dude.. lol I like mine alot, feels like usa std to hold, but a bit heavier.. Flawless construction , plays balanced , needs better tone pots, great dynamics.. a tele snap is all in the fingers..
The neck?? Is it modern day slim C ? Or does it have some meat to it?? V or D neck? Any information appreciated guys. Looking for the thick type neck, nothing thin .
@@oldguyjammin9732 I'm not too worried about the weight, I might also get the new TC93 the new one with the Alnico single coil in the bridge. They just released one with a P90 in the neck and it's on my to buy list.
Tbe weight doesnt bother me much, i am used to lespauls n fender basses, the light Ash is southern states usa , the heavier ash is usually northern us or canadian, this tele must have northern ash like alot of 70s fenders, this tele has a canadian maple neck ..

Timidater - I wasn’t notified either, was just up really early one morning on account of the migraines I get once in a while, like 1:30 or 2 AM and BAM!! Scored one, lol.
I bought the ts15h head from watching your videos and it hums quite a bit. Is yours dead silent? Maybe I got a bad one? Thanks in advance! Love your vids!
Brian Olias - hey Brian, yep mine is dead quiet and I’m using pedals through the front as well as a couple through the fx loop. Does it hum even with the guitar cord pulled out of the front jack and nothing in the fx loop, just the speaker hooked up? Humming is also a bit different than ‘bad tube’ sounds. A bad tube can sound like popcorn or even distant whirl winds. Try plugging it into a different wall plug and/or turn surrounding lights and fans on and off while its humming too. I’ve even canceled hums before by using a different power cord...? Hopefully you can make an easy exchange if you don’t find the cause. Thanks for the support!
How does it hold up a year later? Are you an accomplished player or somewhere in from new and intermediate? Asking, because this would affect the way the guitar holds up. Is it a regular guitar for you to play? Thinking of getting one on Monday

Hey mate, great choice. I live near Artist Guitars here in Sydney and they've taken really good care of me and a couple of my students who use the Artist Grungemaster and a few other items bought through Artist. Most of my cables, many pedals, and one guitar (Affinity Tele) have all come from Artist. I'm seriously considering heading down there after this Corona craziness is somewhat abated and picking up the Artist Tweedtone 20W combo to replace one of my other combos and this Tele to replace my Schecter Tele Deluxe "Fastback Special 2" which plays great, but the pups are horribly mismatched. Could easily sell the Schecter and my Blues Junior, grab the Artist guitar & amp, and pocket the $ difference. I may not be a Trump supporter (I would have voted for him over Clinton tho), but I too love what he's done for your country - he's made a *serious* working-class leftist movement a really existing thing in the US of A. Sanders may be out, but the left is (hopefully) back on track after decades of kowtowing to capital and big business ;) Is that the new OCD V2 or an older version? Sounds great. EDIT: looks like the OCD Ge but my eyesight is terrible. That looks blue to me tho! Cool pedal.
