I tried this recipe with 500gms of mutton...and to my utter disbelief the final dish was so good. I missed Haleem last year as I couldn't travel to Hyderabad during Ramadan nor haleem was available in my city (Pune). Now, I cannot miss haleem as I can make it on my own. I remove the meat from bones and mash it separately to save time. and use wheatflour instead of wholewheat . saves time. but make sure you add all spice for perfect flavour! I used oats instead of barely.. always easy and best haleem . ❤ thanks wah chef

I had been to Hyderabad during Ramadan time and saw Haleem all over.. I am a pure vegetarian, so I asked a localite all about it.. Thanks for showing the process.. Itseems at Hyderabad they prepare it for around 12 - 13 hours.. Better luck next life :-)..

I prepared this several times, followed same procedure. Trust me the main important step is mashing. The more you mash and mix it, the more it tastes good. I used a dal mashing stick to beat and mix the haleem. Yummy ooohh Yummy. It tastes much better than pista house and bawarchi haleem, Thanks Vah Chef😎
