    Great idea to use the same 3 knives. I have had a few identical models with different length blades too, I just chalk it up to human error. Thanks for putting in the effort to show the difference with these in practical use.

    Thanks for the videos and reviews. It's nice to see a comparison between the same models in different steels - great stuff.

    I have 3 of the same model, in grey/black G10, 14C28N, I have a 20 degree edge on mine, the reason I use the Grey G10 one is the better pocket clip. For hunting, fishing,cooking and generally cutting everything its just greate. My favourite workhorse.. thanks for sharing youre results.

    I have the 12C and 14C versions, and I was considering the S90V version. I have only tested one S90V from TwoSun, but it one of the small ones and tested at 59ish. From the results you got on this one, I'd bet it's a couple points harder. Thanks for the vid!

    Very subjectively correct to use the exact same model, different steel. Very credible results which guys/gals can relate too, suiting their individual needs best. Thank you, in the process of deciding which TS127.

    Great video. Very interesting. Thanks in large part to your reviews of these, I got that S90V one in my sights as soon as I can afford to add another one to the collection. I may be money poor, but I’ll always be knife rich. Haha.

      Nice! I'm sure you will be happy if you pick up the TS-127 in any blade steel. Thanks for watching!

    Sandvik steel still gets it done for not a lot $, thanks for the comparison. This TS is on my short list of their models.

    • @OCD4EDC
      @OCD4EDC  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the Sandvik steels have always been at the top of my budget list. And most of the time they out perform more expensive steels.

    Thanks a lot for the testing.
    Have you tested other knives with S90V steel? How are the results of this knife compared to them? I'm just trying to figure out at what level the quality of the steel heat treatment of this knife is compared to the US made knives.

    • @Doc.Holiday
      @Doc.Holiday 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Me too. There are a few other reviews that do dot purport well for TS knives. Heat treatment issues? Older versions vs. new? I hate to buy without knowing but like their designs.

    Not that I would actually watch it, but do you record the cutting? Might come in handy should you get any weird results. I enjoyed the video!

    • @OCD4EDC
      @OCD4EDC  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I do record some of the cutting, and I take a lot of notes. I just really suck at editing and I personally don't think the cutting is very exciting. I also listen to music while I'm doing the cut test, and I have no idea if I can play that on TH-cam. So I decided it's just easier to talk about the results and show a few pic's of the cutting. Let me know if you want to see more cutting pic's or the video. If people want to see the cutting I'll post it. Thanks for watching and the comment!

      @@OCD4EDC I've had videos blocked because of the music. TH-cam has a music policy database that tells you what the copyright holders policy is for songs, but it isn't very accurate. I have found about a half dozen that are usually gtg. 99% of my music collection would get blocked. 😡

    Thanks for the vid. What was the smaller s90v one you didn’t feel performed as well? Was thinking of picking this one up but maybe I shouldn’t...

      I have the TS-126, it is a cool little key chain knife that is really well made. I have not done a cut test with it and probably never will due to the size. The one that did not perform as well was the TS-128, it's still a great knife for the money. It just did not hold an edge as well as S90V should in my mind. I have never been disappointed with any of the TwoSun's I have. If you like it, I'd say go for it!

  • @wessonliam7423
    @wessonliam7423 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was concerned that they where giving their s90 the same treatment as every other steel (based on other channels tests on their knives)
    but unless they fucked up your knife in a good way they appear to be improving

    • @OCD4EDC
      @OCD4EDC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I assume you're referring to the TS-128 Dynamo that has been shown on other channels. Most recently Cedric & Ada. The TS-128 was the first model TwoSun did in CPM-S90V. It's a great little knife but the heat treat wasn't the best. The poor heat treat affected the first production runs of this knife. If you bought one today straight from TwoSun it would have a much better heat treat. They have gotten better with their heat treats and today are very well done. I will be getting one of the newest models from TwoSun, it is sporting CPM-S110V. I will post test results on that knife once I get it in hand. Oh and BTW, all of the steels have been 3rd party PMI tested, they are what TwoSun says they are!!!
      Thanks for watching!!!
