“Thank you for sharing your drafting process! Since I’m a beginner, I’d love to learn more about how to go from drafting to stitching. I noticed that you draft both the front and back on one paper. Could you also share a video of the sewing process? It would help me get a better sense of how to put everything together after drafting, especially with both front and back on one sheet. Thanks so much for the guidance!”🙏🙏❤
Very good tutorial. My pattern turned out very good. I myself had to convert all those inches to cm, because I'm used to cm, but that certainly didn't keep me from drafting one. Thank you for sharing.
This is detailed. It’s the most customizable and simple video I’ve seen yet. Thank you!! Is it too late to ask for a sewing video to accompany this pattern? Love the way that they fit from the thumbnail. I’m interested in using the pattern to make trouser pants and also trouser short shorts/hot pants.
If you doing a straight leg pattern then from the hip like draw it straight down no need to shape towards the knee and ankle. Then for your waistband band please cut it out from the trouser pattern . If you want your waist band to be 2 inches then from the waist line mark down two inches and cut out from the pattern and close the dart . This will make your waist band snatch your waist
Thank you for this video, it came on my screen at the right time. But I want to ask a question, can I add an excess allowance to make it look like a palazzo because I'm making use of Pampala fabric
Drafting depend on the way you want the shape of your pattern to be . If you feel using your knee measurement will be too much for your ankle. Then you can just add extra ease to your ankle measurement and make it as wide as you like
Thanks for the tutorial,my question is,are Yu going to add a waist band ?do Yu add sewing allowance on the fabric?help us with the sewing of the trousers
You can either add sewing allowance on the fabric or the pattern paper. I traced out (using my tracing wheel) the front block And back block on a different pattern paper
Trace both front and back to a new pattern paper with your tracing wheel or use a tracing paper. Then you can add your allowance on the paper or your frantic. That’s your choice 😉
This method requires drafting the back pattern on the front to make it easier. But at the end I use a tracing wheel to separate the patterns . But I’ll definitely work on another method where we draft front and back separately
When you wanted to join the knee to the crotch, you made it too curvy, that's the Reason for that, it should not be too curvy, try it out and see how it looks
Please when joining your knee to your crotch using your French curve . Don’t make it too curvy if not you might have issues
Hi, since i am making mine with a side zipper. Would it be okay if I cut my front and back band on fold?
@@shimisonterakaa6324 👍🏼 perfect .. don’t forget to close the dart on your waist band , if you have darts
@Divine Edward thank you very much. You are very kind!
Omg I just made my trousers but in a short form bcos I was not sure it would come out beautiful. Thank you so much!

I like that you saved paper on your framing by using 2 colors on one page
Thanks . I understood it very much.

Excellent Tutorial M'am. Please include the pocket patterns also.
Please, Mma drafting the back inside the front pattern makes it a whole lots of confusion. Please can you make it 2 separate paper. Thank you
Can I use the same method to make pattern for straight leg trouser? Please reply and do we have to add margin for waistband attachment

@@divineedwardhi this is a wonderful drafting video. I want to ask if the waist band is included in it. I couldn't find a stitching video

Hi sis, still waiting for the sewing part, thanks.
Did you add your ease allowance before or after???????
Thanks for sharing. Can you do for jumpsuit
Thank you for this video, it came on my screen at the right time. But I want to ask a question, can I add an excess allowance to make it look like a palazzo because I'm making use of Pampala fabric
Yes you can do that
You make it so easy
Thank you 😊 ❤️
Well explained 👏
Thank you 😊
What about if you have a big calf, would the kneee circumference be the same for the ankle? Very understandable video by the way.

You can either add sewing allowance on the fabric or the pattern paper. I traced out (using my tracing wheel) the front block And back block on a different pattern paper
Hi Divine why did you use the curb ruler on one side of the pants. And a straight line on the other side ??
Please if we want to add allowance, should everything be at the back or we can add allowance at the front and back?
Hello no . For this type of pattern you have to trace both front and back in a different pattern paper. I know it’s a lot of work
How to draft half length topwith square
A good effort indeed!
very simple method, thank you very much, but can I ask if the seam allowance will be added?
Hello
Yes . Please add seam allowance before sewing
Thank you!! This will be very useful.
Nice illustration. Do I add seam allowance while sewing? And how many inches did you cut off the band?
Trace both front and back to a new pattern paper with your tracing wheel or use a tracing paper. Then you can add your allowance on the paper or your frantic. That’s your choice 😉
Thank u so much this video Pls send stitching video of this pant
Please what other way can I trace if I don't have a tracing wheel
If no tracing wheel you could use a transparent paper or use pins to mark it out
Thanks
Hello please can you draft a sleeve and the upper Bodies?
How many mitars of fabric
Why did you go up 1.5 inches from the knee point?
Hello . That’s just a general formula to get the knee line. But if you have the opportunity to measure your client waist to knee it could also work
Ok cool❤
Good explanation but why not use different paper for front and back?
This method requires drafting the back pattern on the front to make it easier. But at the end I use a tracing wheel to separate the patterns . But I’ll definitely work on another method where we draft front and back separately
Exactly.
What if you don't want a dart at back how do you input your waist measurement
Just mark your waist /4 without adding 1 inch to it
Thank you l love your work
Pls do a sewing tutorial
Thanks a million Edward. Kindly sew it for us too please
I’m working on it
Please turn on notification so you won’t miss out
So easy 🥺❤️❤️❤️
I’m glad 😊
Goodevening why is my shaped side coming to d front
When you wanted to join the knee to the crotch, you made it too curvy, that's the Reason for that, it should not be too curvy, try it out and see how it looks
Why the back part of my pants is having an issue. Later the thread will tear off.
You can explain better so i understand
Hlo...! You didn't tell me the stitching your pant
You are good
What is calculation of hip line
No calculations
That’s your waist to hip measurement (hip depth)
Ok thanks alot
Thank you so much.
Thank you my sweetheart ❤
No lap measurements I’m abit confuse
Please are you going to be adding a waist band
Hello I get the waist band from the pattern
@@shimisonterakaa6324 I usually use 2 inches
Please u didn't add ease at the hip and crotch line, is it still okay to go on like that?
Thank you
What if you have a curvy butt?
