23 xc250 unplanted feel while using revalved air fork and shock. I added Ride engineering 23.5 clamps tubes dropped down to caps and rear link in performance setting sag at 104. Have to go way in on shock compression. Keep going until you feel the bike balance out and it's remarkable. I race Pennsylvania hare scrambles square edge hell now it's awesome. I no longer wish I bought a YZ250X. 😂 hope this helps been chasing it for 2 years.
Thank you for the comment. I'd like to try the 23.5 triples before pulling the trigger. Tell me more about this "rear link in performance setting". Are you saying you can adjust the rear linkage or you went aftermarket? I have my sag at 105. I'll be playing around with suspension this weekend on the XCF.
Air suspension works well for me with how I ride, the KYB that the Yamaha has is the best hands down stock suspension. needs zero improvement IMHO. Coming from a 2 stroke, it took me a while to get used to engine braking, I don't even notice it anymore. I have the 23 350 xc-f love it and wouldn't trade it at all, saying that, the yz sounds awesome. I did notice that Yamaha finally copied ktm's clutch, with the option to go full hydraulic.
I was shocked too. That particular day I remember having more confidence in the front end on the YZ. I may do that test again after getting some hours on the YZ and see. The funny part is I still feel more at home on the KTM. 🤷♂️
everyone tries to modify ktm's to make them feel more like a Yamaha, just get a Yamaha to begin with 🤷
I have both in my garage, and ktm are far away from yamaha, yamaha need a lot more improvements
@@charlesdufour3676what bikes do you have?
Very good for a stock bike compared to a modified bike. Great video thanks for sharing.
Yeah… not too excited about that right now. 🤣

I am running the JL smooth map on my 24’ 450FX and it seems to work very well for the woods here in central PA
Thanks. I'll give it a try next time I go out. 👍

Im confused. How can there be that much of a gap in lap time? I could see a second or 2 but that was a huge gap.

I’m sure you’ve got this 100 times by now but which one do you prefer out of those two bikes?
Without going into too much detail. If I could only have 1 the 350 would stay. It’s really hard to beat that motor. For me it’s that perfect balance.
Which of those two bikes has the most engine braking?
450 has more but the 350 also had the ecu tuned and I requested less engine braking.
GNCC,,, ktm 350xcf or yz 450fx?
For me right now I'd have to stick to the 350. That 450 is going to wear me out.
Will the YZ tire you out faster?
It will depend how you ride and map it. With a mellow map it’s not bad for a 450.
I really cant stand ktm
Love them or hate them they make a damn good bike. 🤷♂️
@@JRideRR yh they do. I don't no what it is. I've never liked them ever.
