what a fucking incredible time to be alive! sitting in my bedroom in the uk, my brazilian friend on the other side of the world informs me that he filled out my astral chart for me and that my venus line runs through surinam. shocked, i realise i know literally nothing about surinam. so i spend the next half hour googling surinamese musicians which ultimately leads me to find this beautifully written masterpiece. the lyrics, the harmonies, the melodies, the vocal tone, the 80s ballad form with ultra-modern production values, the trumpet solo, the gospel choir, the key change: jeangu you are culture himself.
