the most desperate part of the episode is that right before they show us Paul's body cut in half, they had Rudy try to regenerate his arm but fails and have him say that it's impossible to regenerate lost body part, making when we see Paul's body, we know right away that he has absolutely 0 chance to survive because there is no magic to heal him.
@@memsysr it's called it's been years since I've read it, ahole. and king tier is the highest we've seen of healing magic other than mentions and qna's of divine tier
Let me tell you a crazy foreshadowing fact you both missed Do you remember what Rudeus called the hand he killed the Hydra with at the start of S2 P1 😂
Cried like a baby, I kneel to Qkawa's work in this episode. Paul is also one of my favorite characters in MT and he was made justice beyond doubt. Also just as a footnote, Rudy was being overwhelmed by the Hydra's flailing its necks while looking at it with the eye of foresight. He was confused and couldn't react to anything, adding the fact that he doesn't have Battle Armor like Paul and the Hydra also was aiming at him.
Also I love the fact that they were fighting in dragon ruins, explain that Hydra is type of dragon and then in the last stage of the fight with it they played Orsted's theme 😅
Hey, just wanted to give my opinion on both the perception of rudy getting caught off guard and paul dying. For my perspective, Rudy was being attacked by all heads/necks, in an attempt to kill rudy, rudy being the main reason he was being beaten, the hydra put all attacks toward rudy when it was 1 head. Rudy wasnt aware he was being targeted solely and the others we're trying to protect him. So he was confused and lost on how he was suppose to be very strong on playing defensive. So I think hes being a bit hard on rudy in my opinion.
I really wanna know when in the production process of the anime they made the decision to set the pace of content to perfectly setup for Mother's Day and Father's Day, it had to have been what at least over 2 years ago when I assume they drew out the roadmap for season 2. The one week break makes alot more sense now,
Have you happened to listen to paul perspective on the promotional CD for vol 12, some people translated it is heart wrenching to hear. The LN, Anime, and CD versions all do this part of the story extremely well. To add to Rudeus not being at complete fault for Paul's death, even if he knew what was happening he would have never had the physical ability to dodge at that range, as he lacks the physical boost from touki.
If you pay attention to what's on earthedus computer screen in season 1 episode 2 of the anime you will see details only mentioned in that deleted chapter, it's happening my dude. ;)
Asking a mage to have equal speed to dodge fast attacks is like asking a rogue/thief to cast healing spells. If you think about it they didn't show how much close rudy was to the hydra and how big it was compared to everyone. Imagine 20 ft+ multiple headed lizard flailing its severed necks at close distance. The anime didn't do justice to this fight.

Wait he didn't try to grow a new arm, that spell was like advanced class, it takes saint class and above to regrow lost body parts.
@@memsysr it needs the highest rank to regrow
He should have grafted Paul's left hand. It would have been a nice memento.
@@A_itsar lmao is that your head cannon? You can google this shit up.

43:06 absolutely diabolical 🥴
Paul is now in the halls of Harambe, along with Kamina from Gurran Laggan. Only a few episodes is what we needed to know he was one of the GOATs.

How did I miss that!?
And I read the books.
I read that online this past week, kinda insane actually. Knowing Rifujin it was 100% intentional too.
Oh no that aisha lore drop lol

yeah that's actually what happened.
the hydra goes berserk and everyone is busy defending rudy and themselves.
I knew it was coming, and i was not prepared
no way you could ever prepare yourself for that

I was swaying in my seat as the moment was coming, we were eating good. And sad.

I'll have to check that out, this is the first time I'm hearing about it
They aint adapting the deleted chapter 💀💀💀. Even if we get there that is getting skipped

I think Rifujin is 100% rewriting it, just changing a few of the details. If nothing else it's still canon

I think they could've shown a bit more, but I'm happy with how they adapted the fight altogether
