Hey, Jacob. I've been searching for some good but affordable monitors mainly to play guitar through (self taught beginner using Amplitube4 atm), and I noticed you were using the JBLs. I've narrowed my options down to basically either the JBL 305p mkII or the KRK Rokit 5 G4. Haven't had the chance to listen to those in flesh but I'm leaning towards the JBLs from what I heard online, but apparently people complain about some white noise or a bit of hiss coming from the monitors. Mind sharing some experiences you've had with yours? I'd really appreciate it! Love your covers man :)

Can i ask you how do you obtain such a tight sound, let me explain: when i max up the threshold of the noise gate i lose a lot of sound, and when i put that knob around 2/3 o’clock i get too much sound on the background. I use zoom g3 as amp+fx simulator with reaper, do you think i maybe need to put an highpass eq?
Metal Head Guess I should thank the algorithm as well! Haha. Man I have to attribute a huge portion of the “tightness” to the fractal ax8 noise gate. Honestly I’ve tried other gates and I get the same issue you’re having. Just gotta find the sweet spot with gain staging and setting the correct threshold. And yes, a highpass filter always helps tidy up low end rumble too. Good luck!
