I'm a firm atheist, and most certainly a science-believer above all else but I have first-hand accounts of creepy shit. And my mother does too. I have a couple stories that seem WAY too fucked to be a product of some science. EVPs or whatever can occasionally be spotty science as it relies on random radio waves etc. I'm just saying it's a lot easier to ignore it and write everything off as fake but if you want we can hold hands and go on a dreamy adventure of getting out britches shit-stained from creepy supernatural stuff... just inquiring.

Halloween attraction: if those really were 'real missing persons' that would be extremely disrespectful and in very bad taste! And if they were actual real flyers, then not only should the property owner be publicly reprimanded and boycotted, but definitely should also be investigated!!!
Whatever the case, it should be determined where he got the flyers and if he was in the area that they went missing at the time of their disappearances.

I use those self heating Ramen bowls and had something similar happen to me. But it was only when the lid was still on the noodles and they were heating up that the pressure proved to be too much for the container and the container would pop. I believe it was for a party. The last leaflet the camera shows is Tara Grimstead, who was the subject of a high profile cold case, recently solved, she was murdered by locals of the Georgia town she lived in, not a serial killer.
I honestly believe Gettysburg would be an absolute perfect place to check out at night. It's been added to my bucket list. With everything that happened there and all of the lost lives it would be crazy to think those grounds aren't haunted.

Everytime gettysburg is mentioned I get all giddy and excited because I went there two years ago and captured my first ever paranormal evidence on camera. I also just get excited cause I'm like omg I've been down that road lmao

The drowning EVP always gives me chills. The best unexplained disembodied voice I have ever caught was in the Stanley Hotel. The ghosts at Gettysburg 😭 That's got to be horrible to be stuck on repeat where you (probably) died a horrible death during combat.
That's why it's better to die doing something you love just in case :/
The only comforting thought is that it may in fact not be the spirits themselves. There are different types of hauntings. Intelligent hauntings involve the actual presence of the spirit - it will communicate (if it can) and is aware of its surroundings. There are also residual hauntings, though. These can occur when extreme trauma is imprinted upon a place or an area, and it's like the energy was so intense it continues to replay the event that imprinted it. So it's actually the energy of the PLACE that you are witnessing, not the spirit or spirits themselves. In such cases the spirits will continue with whatever loop of behavior they are stuck in - they will be oblivious to any contact or presence of others - because, as I said, it isn't really them, it's more like a recording being played back, like a hologram.
I would certainly imagine that Gettysburg - or any battlefield - would definitely qualify as places where intense emotions and trauma could leave a permanent imprint in the energy of the place. Similar places would be, for instance, death camps (or any POW camps) or places any massacre took place.
So hopefully those spirits have long ago crossed over, and it is only their images left behind. There are instances where a spirit may not be aware it is dead, or if it is, that it is able to leave or cross over. We had one in our house. (We live in a very active "haunted" house - we don't consider them supernatural, just different from ourselves. They're never a problem - more like guardians, really.) However, in one particular room on the highest floor there was a very sad feeling. Beyond sad, it was despair. It actually made me cry. I got the very strong impression of a female, and I felt that she had been told that she was not to leave that room. I am unsure of the details but I got the very strong impression that she was either disabled, Down's syndrome, or that abuse was involved. But she was essentially kept prisoner in that upper attic room. One day I started talking to her and I told her that although she might not know it, she could leave if she wanted to. That she was free now and could go anywhere and do anything she liked. That the people who had hurt her were long gone, and they were never coming back. I told her she was welcome to stay or move about the house with the others if she pleased, or to come and go as she chose. That she could cross over to the light if she wished or remain a while, whatever she wanted because she was free.
I didn't get any "signal" or immediate response, so I thanked her and told her I would leave her if she wished. (I had been up there doing some cleaning). I left the room and latched the door. (Her preference) I turned around to put my broom in the closet, and her door FLEW open with a crash. My only reaction was to start laughing. She was gone. The feeling in the room was no longer sad. It was completely different. I don't know if she comes by to visit. I haven't been aware of her. She honestly did not know that she could leave that place, even as a spirit.
Guess this doesn't really have anything to do with the original thought, but anyway - it is a true story, one of my coolest paranormal encounters for sure. I was so glad to be able to let her know she could go!

I've never heard of the first thoughts you were talking about. Like a place/location having been imprinted with such horrible things that there is like a hologram of sorts there. I am not as descriptive as you are and can't find the words to write it all out as I've taken it in from you but pretty much - what you said. (Lol) I'll have to look more into that though because it's an intriguing thought for sure.

The spot in the woods with the posters of missing people reminds me of the camping area where Danny Rollins, the serial killer caught in Gainesville, Florida in the early 1990's, stayed. He had all kinds of trophies displayed that only he understood (until he was caught.). This video gave me the creeps!

Gettysburg is definitely haunted there are too many unsuspecting sitings to not to be. I know of a couple of reenactors that have experienced a strange moment.

The EVP sounds like hydrotherapy that used to happen in mental asylums all the time and sometimes due to the thrashing of the patients they had to be restrained so it very well could have resulted in death as the techs have been known to be overworked and often took their anger out on the residents.

In the clip about the little girl spirit that is said the be saying “help me” the very first word it says is “afternoon” then the rest of her dialogue does sound like she might be saying she’s having trouble breathing. As for the male voice, it’s sounds as though he is saying “you’re okay” the the girl spirit says “I can’t breathe” and the tone suggests she is dying at that very second as the voice descends. The water doesn’t sound like water from a struggling victim it’s as though water is being moved through by hands or even as it does when someone enters a tub of water, or exits. That is my opinion, take it for what it’s worth.

yeah, I live in the pacific northwest near the forest and when I heard the clip, I thought it sounded familiar. I hear the same thing some nights in the spring.
The one that says "will that be our train", it also sounds like the other person that sounds like a man says "yessum that's ours" which is definitely the lingo they used back in the days like the 1800s. So I'm thinking that audio is real proof.
Problem is that the voices are overlain with modern diesel engine horn sounds and modern train crossing bells (that wouldn't be heard in a station anyway.) If those sounds weren't added by Slapped Ham, then that recording is an absolute fake.

I think the male voice was just one of the investigators saying something to others in the room, with the woman's voice not heard until listening to the recording.

The last one is the scariest one to me, imagine yourself dying... then being cursed to be a spirit that will relive it's last living moments on a loop forever and ever... I guess it wouldn't be to bad if this loop had a sort of reset, so that you don't remember that your existence now lasts only about 10 seconds and it's on repeat... it's so sad.
