There's no test my friend. We have freedom of making choices, we are created to be free. It's up to us to use our freedom the way we want. All the choices have consequences. If God is testing us, then it means we have no freedom and everything that happens is something that God sent to us to see our reaction. That's kinda sadistic. God is creator, we should match that frequency of creating and create better future our ourselves.

Edit: For the comments let me clarify, yes you're right it's probably the same as drugs in terms of addiction. I was thinking more of the money side of how much you can loose in the same space of time. I've seen crack heads more responsible with there cash than gamling addicts. I've seen a gamling addict spend 2 grand (there monthly wage) in under an hour
Gamblings all mental, drugs are both mental and physical. As somebody that's struggled with drugs myself, gambling definitely isnt worse...that doesnt mean im saying gambling isnt horrific though

For your pocket and mental health yeah . I have got friends in debt because they spent just a night drunk and coked out on the casino. Way more expensive than a hit of any drug.

Gambling addiction is so fucking scary. I’ve been addicted to opiates and I’m glad it was that and not gambling. Been clean for years now but gambling seems so much harder to quit
I was addicted to morphine fam 2 years every day n night was ill fam and I sed ima stop was a struggle I'll I mean I'll wivout it I was sober on alcohol 14 years aswell and after morphine I started avin 3 beers ta stop the pain then4 then 5 then ended up 5 bottkes a wine a night n 4 stone heavier then 1 day I sed I wana stop so I went rehab and been sober for 6 months 4 slip ups nuffin for a whileee now n I'm not wanting to harvest battle ever I admit for my mental health I'm on ALOTT A meds g and I do I buy diazapam for my mental health panick and gda worst anxiety disorder high depression ptsd chemical embalanced and personality disorder and I do I take nuffun else just the Diazapam n that's a benzo 16 years every day not even 1 single buzz just holds me upp but clean n so er off opiods n drink tho longgg time jus a need that Diaz 16 years I dnt no wot it wud even b like wivout them and funny ting I got given them in my 1st rehab upp in elephant n Castle and wot meds they gimme 16 years ago diazapam ffsss n since then none stop ta help wiv mental health wish I CUD drop that 1 med but I'm on 6 soo I ain't messing up the matrix I'm in but yh well dun on the opiods my brother bless uppp
Tell me about it...15 years being compulsive gambling addict...not really sure how i will stop but if i don't it will kill me sooner or later. Very dangerous addition. I am heartbroken as not sure if i ever will get better...and that is when you start thinking maybe world will be netter without me...struggle is real❤proud of YOU❤

Brother something's make me loose it too and I feel like shit bro I can't be this soft, look at legend of genetics that God chose to put life in me and Im gonna tear up for something like that. Buttttt, brother idk about u I'm Muslim and alhamdulilah my Lord, my Owner, the One to whom everything belongs, bro He's so merciful and beautiful bro I think it's a Hadith but it's something like a believers heart needs to be as soft as baby lamb's, and I find it beautiful because Allah wants u to be soft, empathetic, sympathetic so u know everytime u call Him out u are doing with the most sincere of feelings, your heart churning and your eyes feel like something is coming up, but at the same time a believer is a soldier brother, a militants have great discipline, aim is to have that discipline but not to represent any army but to rep army of Allah talla, and He's just sooooo merciful and kind bro, as a person who is claiming to His soldier, u gotta be the mightiest soldier of them all but the best of Allah's soldiers are those from who's hands and tongue other believers are safe. Bro don't feel bad to have a heart that Allah talla want u to have but make sure your emaan is pure and strong that nothing can make u cry except the favours and blessing of your Lord, turn your heart into gold brother, everytime u feed it with rememberance of God it's starts glowing and your eyes start crying. Fall in love with Allah bro, no tear is more worthy, beautiful and meaningful than the one that flows due to gratitude u feel towards your Maker.

Yes exactly I had maybe still have a gambling addiction problem well I guess I always be a compulsive gambler , 6 and 1/2 years ago I prayed to god to stop gambling that night I nearly ended it all and one thing stop me , I couldn't do it my dear mother , 4 months later I found myself in a gambling rehab on the 27 of January 2018 ,finished the program on the 27 of April 2018 .
As a Christian otherdox all I wanted is for my parents to have there son back , after 25 years of destruction I manage to achieve I haven't gambled since I finished my program , thank god I worked hard to get out of that destruction life . Now I have my fish and chips business and I help my parents, thank you .

Man i had the same but with weed addiction , i wanted to be close to my mother but i couldn't look her in the eyes. I felt more and more miserable until i stopped because i knew i would regret it one day even missing one day with them
Alhamdulillah, I recently came back to Islam and I know exactly what this brother is talking about.
When Allah gives you guidance, you never want to let it go. Life is more peaceful and a lot of stress has been lifted from my shoulders, Alhamdulillah.
May Allah keep us steadfast in our faith brother.
Why I love HP
As an atheist, my observation is that always the people that are addicted to something or depressed mental illness that turn to God. They just swap one crutch or addiction for another. For me, it's a sign of weakness of character.

I remember going back home from Uni on Christmas, I wasn’t living how I should be. When I looked at my mum she looked so bright I couldn’t even look at her. It was literally like looking at the sun, so pure and warming but I felt I didn’t deserve anything like that. I went back on the 27th and spent new years alone. Allow God into your life it’s the only way to true peace.
Gambling is fun in moderation, very hard to know when to walk away up or down.
We are All Tested, Trials & Tribulation. Alhamdullilah he saw the light and returned to the right path.

I used to be like this for 2 years, not gambling, but buying useless stupid stuff. Until one day i heard my mother having trouble to pay my little brother education, my father passed away alredy. From that moment on, i give half of my salary and i never ask about it again.
Had no idea HP was Muslim. Dealing with my own shayateen but Allah is merciful and dua is the key to salvation.
The only thing to turn to when your in need.. GOD
