my issue with Firefight is that you can't win if your teammates don't spawn in REQs (which happens a lot)

in all honesty it really comes down to what the final boss is, cause if you gotta fight 4 knights that are legendary and then 3 mythic wardens its really tough to beat no matter what with only 5 minutes in total

After trying several heroic firefight matches I concur, most players don't spawn reqs leaving you to deal with everything pretty much solo. I don't claim to be above decent at the game but when your damage output is more than triple what most of your team is dealing you quickly get fed up of losing. Legendary seems to draw more competent players willing to buy a tank or two

Goddam my friends whom are half my level (im level 124 currently) have three times more normal variant scorpians than I do. How dafuq is that fair, I would actually use 51 scorpians and 33 scorpians they apparently have instead of doing nothing and being useless. Also I only got thruster boost armour mod recently while one of my friends gets it at level 30ish opening dammed silvers. The only reason I got it was because I am now opening golds (I was getting req points back out of silvers)

I think mythic Firefight is technically permanent. It just leaves every week but comes back with new skulls and a new map for the weekend.
Arc 48 Mythic is the best I level up crazy fast because of it. And I'm willing to use reqs to win. Than I get the goods from packs

They should have new unlockables solely based on Mythic Warzone firefight, as a way to show true achievement. Things such as armor, skins, even stances.
For example - "HAZOP Gen 1: Win a match of Mythic Warzone Firefight without dying"
When you complete this commendation, you would receive a pack that includes the armor. The item HAS to be exclusive to players who complete the task, and shouldn't be achievable through purchasing.

That's impossible, especially if you get a "defend armory" mission.
The only way I see it happening is if one person sits out in a safe area while everyone else does the dirty work.

I've won a few Mythic matches, and I had the highest kill count each time (which is a rarity all in itself) ny a couple dozen, and keep in mind, I'm not that good. after all this time, I'm still like a lv 67 with a hella negative K/D.
But I found that my key to being a big contribution as many on the normal AI as possible during boss matches. in my experience, no one paid attention to the average AI during a boss match. which made it harder for them to take out the bosses. When you take out the reinforcements, then join in to kill the boss. Because you're getting your teammates alive, reducing their chances of death, which increases the amount of collective DPS (Damage Per Second)
But also, stock up on REQ's... even the ones you don't use. you never know if those can be turned to for a last resort.
Hopefully this helps a little bit, try it out and lemme know of any tips on your end.
P.S. Luke, these videos are wonderful quality, I wish I had the skill you do to play like you do, and maybe even make videos like you. Keep up the great work man.

Rogue Scout My only Hannibal Wasp was REQ'd in about 34 seconds... Mythic Warzone Firefight is quite near impossible with out a team and proper communication.
A mythic hunter blew up my wasp and then i killed only because i was in a scorpin..and its mythic because it said mythic takedown

I feel bad for all the new players who have huge trouble with normal Warzone Firefight let alone freaking Mythic Firefight......
Legendary honestly also gives more points in the long run with boosts and I enjoy something hard that I can also potentially beat instead of something so ungodly hard that it's impossible to beat and I have no fun playing. I'm not a pro player at all in fact I'm more casual than anything and the insane difficulty is way to far out of my ball park and I don't want to play something that is way to advancd for myself and if Notable even has trouble with it i have no shred of hope.
I played a few and won all. Some small tips:
1.) Scorpions are crucial! You can use Mantis and Wasps too, but Scorpions really are the best vehicles for Firefight. Trust me, it'd ridiculous.
2.) Try isolating Grunts etc. and Spartan Charge them to recharge your shields.
3.) Very useful ability is Wheelman.
4.) An Anti-Infantry weapon which is rather common and works well for me is the Hydra. Jump out of cover, lock onto Elite, fire 4 rounds, back to cover. Dead Elite.

maybe you should try playing with your friends or company? I got ~10000 REQ points within two games with RP jackpot equipt where I got only ~7000-8000 REQ points from Heroic and Legendary firefight

Legendary is the best value because you are more likey to win and Mythic doesn't even give that good of rewards.
Assuming you lose two mythic warzone firefight games, you couldve won two legendary warzone firefights. And thus giving you more value.

Legendary mode is NOT new from the update. Heroic and Mythic are new - the original WZ Firefight WAS/IS Legendary mode - just now it is labeled.
Heroic is added to have an easier difficulty, Mythic to be impossible. This was detailed on 343 forum post on Halo Waypoint.

I've only been able to do mythic once due to idiotic randoms refusing to use their REQs, while I'm over here wasting all of my Hannibal Scorpion, Phaeton Helios, and various ONI tanks..
I've played it only once, had an amazing team of strangers, and thankfully, managed to win xD
Mr.T3 same i spawned in round two with a Aa wraith so because i missed a round i missed full game req bonus and only got 2 k req points and on warden we had wasps, tanks and i used arclight
fairly certain you already know this however many people don't but the talon of the lost (level 4 req needler) does a very large amount of damage to the warden, grunt mech, and hunters compared to many other weapons. against the warden with all needles hitting in legendary firefight the talon drops his health to about 33%
I've played Mythic Warzone Firefight, and won (the universal win rate is about 5% btw)... the strat? Same as Legendary, but more cautious.
As for the REAL challenge that would be maddening to see? LASO Firefight. ALL DA SKULLS
Thank god the new Warzone Firefights are more rewarding than Warzone Assault! I'm a lot better at fighting enemies than other Spartans, so I'm going to play a lot of this mode to grind for REQ points.
Mythic is super freaking easy. I even won a match the first time I played on my rank 2 account with no REQ's and it was easy. Just saying...

Can't handle the sweatiness Mythic WZFF thanks to the black eye skull and the TTK the enemies have to players. But hey! At least there's Heroic /Legendary WZFF where I can kick back and relax.
I'm mostly ok with how the enemies are buffed in mythic/legendary........except the knights, holy shit 343 when you give us a round where we have to deal with 4 powerful. As. Fuck knights that are equipped with heartseekers that fire 3 bursts at once that are nigh impossible to evade with immediate cover, and then add a whole bunch of other powerful knights around the map to pick at your vehicles constantly, and then give us only, what, 4 mins to pull that off??? That's never worth a few thousand req points or so to me lol
Spawn phaeton Helios for the grunt final boss, and play with communication and a squad. We won about 8 mythic games last night. With boosts I was getting on average 19,000 xp per game.

For whatever reason I find Plasma caster is the ULTIMATE boss killer, especially for hunter and grunt mechs.
SourPeach1 hitting the power core on the back of his suit will do more damage but other than that it's all about brute force with him

I only played two games of it, lost the first, won the second. What saved our ass was us all being cannon fodder in the last round so that our Hannibal scorpion could annihilate the mythic knights. Won with 3 seconds on the board but hey, a win was a win.
I beat halo 5 firefight mythic over 63 times and only won once and when I won I got 5 gold packs and 20000 req points
I see people on heroic reqing better reqs than people in Legendary/Mythic and Warzone most the time.
If only they were on my team in those game modes.

Cryo Ape that's a glitch on Xbox, it has happened to me before, it only says it's installing , just press on the game and it will still start up, but if you've taken the disc out already it probably restarted the instillation

I played 4 games with randoms last weekend and each of them failed to spawn any shit to deal with the final round with the grunt mech...smh so frustrating
The key is to play with a team. won 4/6 matches, and the two losses were easily avoidable. honestly, this playlist is not that hard. that said, you do need to use reqs, although the rewards are excellent
I got 25,000 Req points per hour. I got 7000 once from a mythic game.
You could use the best anti boss vehicles, since the bosses DONT FRIGGIN DIE!!!! The Ultra Wraith, Ultra Banshee, ONI Scorpion, ONI Wasp, ONI Warthog, Hannibal Scorpion, Phaeton, and Phaeton Helios, are the best in my opinion.
I think that formula you used is prone to errors and needlessly complicated. Like guessing times etc. I think i have a better one that is simple.
here are the variables used:
P(xp per hour pr op per hour), x(Total rp gained or total xp gained), T(total time played **IN MINUTES**) where total time played and total rp/xp gain are talking about total gained in a specific session of halo 5.
Here is the formula: P = x/T * 60 if you recorded your total time in hours then the formula is just P=x/T
I believe this formula is better because it does not guess anything. If you play for 1.45 hours and gain x amount of rp/xp then it will tell you exactly your xp/h or rp/h
So here's the thing though Luke. I don't consider Mythic WZ Firefight to be difficult. I think there's a difference between a game actually being difficult and sheer ridiculousness. Take a look at bloodborne and dark souls for example. Those games are difficult! It is not monotonous like Mythic WZ FF. Essentially, all Mythic WZ FF did was make the bosses even bigger bullet sponges with a twist (that being the black eye skull). So let's take a second here. WZ FF 1st comes out, people complain about it being ridiculous because every enemy is a bullet sponge. 343i says hmm, let's give all the enemies more health and make this game even MORE monotonous. It would be one thing if there was a skillful way to take down each enemy (like the Knights for example. They did good there), but there really isn't a way to do any of that. I'm pissed and y'all should be too because Halo deserves better than that kind of treatment.
I think it great that 343 is giving larger XP and RP rewards for Legendary and Mythic, however I still prefer Warzone Assault. Reason being is that its PvP. I can get a good amount of XP and RP per hour, but I'm able to keep my skills up against real people. That and I'll usually use it as a warm up (in addition to SWAT) before going into FFA or Team Arena.
Luke, I've been unbelievably bad lately. I'm an Achilles helmet level player, but lately I've just been so bad. Every arena game (especially snipers) I challenge someone and always miss, then get killed. In warzone, I just keep getting destroyed by SMG's and cross map Br kills. Nothing I'm trying is working. Please help me if you can.
So far, I think I've won 2 Mythic games and lost 4. One time we lost on the final Hunter round, two times we lost on the round where you have to kill 35 soldiers or something (they seem to spawn really far apart from one another) and the other time we lost because one of the soldiers bosses glitched and it was just walking against a wall and couldn't be killed, haha. From my experience, it just kind of comes down to luck (if you're solo queue). Right people, right REQs, right rounds etc. It's really important that everyone pulls their weight. If there's one weak link, you're probably going to fail.
fuck warzone, all 343 need to do now is put the rank system back to 1-50 and halo 5 will be a game worth playing now they have sorted the playlists out.

Pro tip I average 356089xp in 4 hours by saving my ai kill bonus and I got so many, of course I average 100 ai kills a game with a pro warthog trick. Look it up you'll see. And I haven't tried req bonus

I like to play it just because it's quick and easy and you're guaranteed a win with just a couple of exceptions if your team doesn't understand what they should be doing.

So I'm going to be playing heroic mostly regardless, but I am curious about the numbers.
I find that the difficulty of Mythic WZFF depends on the map. The latest Mythic event was on Apex 7 and I found that I was consistently getting to round 5 alot more than I was on Escape from Arc (2nd round protect the core was an absolute nightmare). I couldn't possibly imagine just how bad Defending the garage would have been if you did make it that far. But it comes down to the teammates that you are with and their willingness to call in Reqs.
No, It's not worth it, It isn't even worth playing, As somebody who play the older firefight in Halo 5, Those games themselves were worth atleast one gold pack per victory, This new mythic firefight is absolutely pointless, If one game doesn't give the rewards the older firefight should have been giving in the first place for all of the horrible maps and spawning, Then why bother with something harder and not rewarding enough? I say fuck that shit.

counting the REQ points acquired from firefight doesn't necessarily show the amount of REQs or REQ packs you could get because in firefights you can earn specific gold Firefight REQ packs that have similar rewards to a gold pack.
I'm not sure how helpful this is to anyone, but every heroic firefight I've played I never used any reqs other than base weapons like AR and DMR. And no weapons or vehicles, and I've still dominated the leaderboard and ended the game with 3 gold firefight packs.
As far as I can tell, the new warzone firefight modes do something different.
Heroic is MUCH easier than the previous iteration of WF.
Legendary is slightly harder, but is largely the same as the origional.
Mythic is really hard, I've won one of the four games I've played.
Legendary is my personal favorite because I like the slightly harder difficulty without getting eviscerated.
Mythic is really fun in small doses, because vehicles are made of tissue and Spartans are made of of less than that. It's super challenging and rewarding when you win but I normally end up with a bunch of dead vehicles and no win. This is why I like Mythic not being permanent. If it were here forever I would feel obligated to play it because it's the most challenging. If it comes around for special events I would be inclined to save boosts and dedicate a lot of time to it when it eventually rolls around
I miss when PartyUpGaming/ any good halo 5 companies was at full potential, never lose a Warzone watch ever and always a full lobby for any playlist. My most fun I've had in halo TBH
Mythic is extremely difficult, but Legendary is the old firefight. Heroic is an easier version, and I didn't notice a significant drop in REQ points or EXP. Could you do one for heroic, considering it takes less time per match? I think you might net more per hour with a higher win ratio and shorter matches.
I played mythic around a good 72 times and I only beat it once and I got 6 gold packs
My first time playing MWZFF I thought it was LASO. The farthest I've gotten is round 4, cuz those cores are near impossible to protect with the amount of damage they do.
Please note that Legendary Warzone FF was the standard Warzone FF. Whereas Heroic is an easier version of the regular Warzone FF. So basically, they added a easier version (Heroic) and a more difficult version (Mythic).

Here's a tip for those Mythic firefight people, When you wanna call in a Phaeton, use the Standard, don't use the Helios, Reason why is if you use the Helios, its cleansing beam wont actually scratch some of the bosses in the game (Warden) Idk why but I decided to use the standard and it actually does more DPS than the helios does to a boss, its weird ik but I think Spartans and Bosses fall into different catagories, normally a whiplash would insta kill any spartan that's not covered, but when it comes to a Boss though, its much, much harder, using a standard phaeton is actually better, kinda makes them useful for once and also helps you preserve the Helios's for Warzone and Warlords

I think 1 big tip for mythic is play defensively. Your health is trashier than regular firefight. RP I think regenerates slower. Playing defensively takes longer but dying will likely cost the team the game especially in round 5.

its impossible to play on wifi connection,just use hardwired and it will be easier than campaign with skulls.you got 8 players on a single team,shouldn't be hard.This could possibly be my favorite mode because its the only mode with skulls activated. We finally get a beginners challenge,where players are using different parts of their brain for once instead of the same stuff all the time.I wish they could give us a skull only option where you can only use a skull to bash your enemies
Hey I've played a couple games of mythic and never lost. Make sure your team works together, and most importantly, has a variety of vehicles, with an equal amount of ground and air vehicles. Trust me this helps so much. Also choosing the right weapons and vehicles for each boss will help a lot and save time. It is frustrating though when teammates do not call in their best reqs to help the team.
the hardest of the final bosses is the grunt goblin (the new one, hwo looks like an ultra)... i have won that 1 of 3 times i have played it...
in general, i have won 3 out of 4 games, is not that hard if you and your team spawns vehicles like crazy... especialy tanks... (wraith ultra works the best) ... and you can win all the games (the games i lost was because my team didn´t have the req cards to buy the tanks)
xp and req boosts are a huge deal in firefight. I played regular and used a legendary xp boost and got 22,000 xp from one game with a victory.
I Beat a mythic war zone match on my first try.
A few things I did was I always had a head shot capable weapon.
Had an eye looking at my radar.
Also I didn't push very much I just stayed back let the enemy come to me.
Plus there was someone in my game using the anti air wraith which was helpful when protecting the generators or whatever it was.
I got so fucking close so many times but killing those first 2 bosses at the final round so fucking quickly with the warden eternals is fucking hard. Like all I needed was about 45 or 30 more seconds.
Y’all don’t even know. There has been multiple times where we were within 1 second of winning mythic firefight but lost. Warden eternal was at 1 health twice and I’ve lost multiple times from one remaining enemy because the game only decided to mark them with 10 seconds till failure.
The last two rounds I played, AI would randomly spawn in behind me. No approach (blank tracker). Just there.
Simply not worth it because people doesn't think and just jumping right to the boss without any good reqs. Seriously, you know these games where the first round is about killing some elite bosses and people kill them when it's more than 4 minutes left and then on the second round are supposed to beat these ghost-battalions with just lvl 2 reqs? Good luck.
