I am curious why the fountain on the patio? There is always the running water sound from the small creek or stream. It seems like a spot to put a big table for outside dining.
Centipedes and millipedes are attracted to moisture and they hate some smells like peppermint oil, tea tree oil, and citronella peppermint oil. You may add some essential oils drops into your spray. It is always a good idea to use a boric acid powder to discourage any insects
@@kimentwistle3491 probably a water fixture and night lights are not a good combination in that particularly moist garden area. I keep fingers crossed that it is temporarily
We’ve always enjoyed the transformation and your hard work. Unfortunately the continuing attacks on snails and caterpillars means we can watch no longer. Stop using poisons please
Yes, it’s true that Sergi looked beautiful with the frame of roses and hydrangeas. The energy you receive from the garden is spectacular. You and Gina at the garden center are an outrageous combination! She is such a fun friend.
Железная щетка помогает снимать лишний клей с плитки. Попробуйте, а если будет трудно, то есть специальный раствор, поищите в своих строительных магазинах…. Удачи!😊
This might sound horrible, but could you suck the centipedes up with a sweeper? then deposit them somewhere outside of your home in the countryside. Everything you and Sergi do with your home is absolutely beautiful. There is such a coziness and a hominess and the garden is beautiful ❤❤❤
I have actually done this and it works. I did it with ants and with a spider pod that opened right on our front door. Excellent suggestion and far better than poisons 👍
Try to use less regular water in the area infested with centipedes because they love moisture environment. May be scented with essential oils water from a basket is fine
OMG!! I thought it was a snake or long lizard near your bottom step going up to your terrace, but I see it was just the hose 😅 Also, be very careful with insecticides/poisons with Cherie 🐶 xx
Wow Sergi,,great job on the lights! What a perfect garden you are creating, cant wait to see the fountain lit at nite too! I would continue the tiles the same, make it easy on your knees and not put a million pebbles! Your flowers will be all you need to set in pots by it, or whatever you decide! Love watching your projects come to life!🎉❤❤
'Diatomaceous Earth' kills centipedes and millipedes in 1 hour. It's totally natural and non toxic, and it's also great for slugs ( just re-apply after rain). I buy mine from my garden centre, but you can buy it online.
It does work for fleas as well, anything with an exoskeleton. I even sweep it in my house on the wood floor in spring and fall, leave for a few days and then vacuum up. Keeps any crawlers from multiplying 👍
I watch videos from France, Portugal and Italy. All rained almost every day and now all say how hot the weather is. I live in a small beach town in California and the same has been here.
Oh dear Alla, your creatures are portuguese millipedes and they come after very heavy & constant rain. We here in Western Australia had a plague of them a few years ago with wet winters however they gradually became less & less with a few drier winters. i found they were worse when leaving the outside lighting & verandah house lights on so I had to not have the lights on which was annoying but it stopped them coming in under the doors. Many people had them in their houses climbing up the walls & ceilings. People were very upset & creeped out with them so I know how you feel but I think your new lighting is attracting them. I bought an insect surface spray & sprayed all around the perimeter of the house on the brickwork & it did work..they give off a smell when you touch them horrible.I know other countries & states have them as well...good luck 🙄
Very impressed with Sergi's work. The lights are beautiful!. I hope to make my garden as inviting as yours. Oh, how wonderful it would be to have you go flower shopping with me. Yes, your knowledge of plants would be most helpful!
Cld try peppermint essential oil or melaleuca EO in a spritz with vodka (or witch Hazel) and water and spray the area regularly. Most insects don’t like those oils and they go elsewhere.
My advice about the millipedes is to leave them alone, or spray with salt water or vinegar. Insecticides are poison and are really not good for birds, reptiles, or water. The bugs are probably seasonal and will go away soon. I know it's disgusting to have insects in your home, but it's best to let the natural balance heal. Perhaps borrow a few chickens to eat the bugs for a week or so?
Nothing you can do to prevent the centi/miliped. They are seasonal, with some years having a a lot more spawning than others. Think weather influences it, with wetter weather increasing production. And actually the lights will attract them even more. Not just flying bugs like lights. Spraying for them is really a waste of effort, and just harms helpful insects.
Alla & Segi firstly need to identify the caterpillar you have as there are many different varieties then have a look at its different design marks on it, and all need their own individual products to get rid of them because near your kitchen they like spices they could have been there for a long time as they keep coming back to place of birth I read that on you tube after identifying the variety find someone a professional to help to get rid of them Cherie has to be kept safe as she sits on that hanging seat near them and the area to be treated what you are using is not working also look on the Internet for help when you locate the caterpillar you have look at the markings design on its body then get what is necessary for removal of it safely do not touch the caterpillar they can be harmful too
You must spray pesticides for crawling insects every two weeks because you are very close to the water source and trees, because if you do not use pesticides, harmful animals such as snakes, scorpions, and many other things that you do not want will multiply inside the walls of the house.
No no no! Not pesticides! These also kill bugs you want and poison small animals like frogs. Enough with the poisons people, this is just disgusting that people will jump to convenience even though it is so damaging to the ecosystem 😢
The progress you both are making is incredible, every day you make remarkable progress. The garden is as you say, such a sanctuary and source 😉 f pleasure when you are weary from all the projects you have on the go. It is interesting that you are happy to use an insecticide spray on the millipedes but not on the slugs and snails which do such ongoing damage to all your beautiful plants. You mentioned at the garden centre about the damage they do to the echinacea, and weve seen what they do to your strawberry plants. Can you tell us why you are opposed to using a product to stop the slimy beasts from taking over the wonderful garden you work so hard to create? You are such a hard worker as well Sergei, great to see how clever you are as you work in different areas of your home. Well done both of you 😊.
Hello Alla and Surgei, My wife Joanne Dubnicka (one of your subscribers) and I were watching your video this morning, like we do every morning 🙂, and So when I heard you ask for suggestions about dealing with the "centipede problem," I thought I would share an idea. Have you ever considered getting a couple of Muskovy ducks? They are a very unique, and distinctive, type of duck, but some of the most distinctive characteristics of this type of duck are that: they are friendly to humans, meaning that they will not attack you when they get scared; they make no noise, except of maybe a hiss when they are threatened; if you are feeding them, they will think of you as their mother, and stay on your property; they will listen to you when you talk to them; and they may even follow you around when you are doing things. But perhaps the most important thing you may be interested in is that they can solve your problems with the centipedes, worms, and slugs. (I have even seen them eat snakes.) Also, if you were to get a male and a female duck, then they will proudly bring their baby ducks to you so they can be admired, when they are born; or perhaps you will be able to get some of their duck eggs.
Also, diatomaceous earth will discourage all the millipedes and centipedes. Try putting some at the top of the walls, across the doorways (it’s animal safe for Cherie) and around the plants the slugs are eating. They don’t like to crawl across it- anyway, look into it and see if it’s something you want to try.
Yep II have uninvited guests to my garden eating free meals when ever they like to munch and they are those disgusting slugs🤑Your garden is looking so pretty Alla. Awh bless Sergi he was determined to get those lights in what ever the weather. Cherie looked so comfortable in her chair such a cutie😗
Looking good Alla, I love the green stones but you have great instinct. Whatever you decide will be beautiful! Great job on the lighting Sergi! I think he is a keeper Alla 😉❣❣❣
Loving the look of your mini Piazza with soon to be constructed fountain. It will set off your whole outdoor area magnificently. And with the lighting I can just hear you going "I love it, I love it". I won't comment on the insect issues as lots of other great comments. 🧡🧡🧡
Be careful with agapanthus, they’ll seed & multiply everywhere, and they’re hard to get rid of once established. They’re like a weed here in New Zealand! Love your garden with so many beautiful plants.
Buy TEMPO concentrate. Mix and use a hand pump sprayer to spray the affected area including your rock wall, around the perimeter of your house and your walkways.
I am curious why the fountain on the patio? There is always the running water sound from the small creek or stream. It seems like a spot to put a big table for outside dining.
The problem with centipedes and millipedes you kill one and a hundred comes to it funeral 😅❤

Alla, maybe you can chop one large agapanthus into 4 or 5 plants, they are very hardy. Sergei - great job on the lighting!
We’ve always enjoyed the transformation and your hard work. Unfortunately the continuing attacks on snails and caterpillars means we can watch no longer. Stop using poisons please
Those lights add so much to the garden. Good job, Sergi!
Alla, you can spray the walls with peppermint oil or sprinkle cayenne pepper around the base of the wall.
I think the tile is looking beautiful, I still can't imagine the fountain though. Kathy USA 🇺🇸
Yes, it’s true that Sergi looked beautiful with the frame of roses and hydrangeas. The energy you receive from the garden is spectacular. You and Gina at the garden center are an outrageous combination! She is such a fun friend.
I’ve been using a spray I made with peppermint leaves that seems effective
Железная щетка помогает снимать лишний клей с плитки. Попробуйте, а если будет трудно, то есть специальный раствор, поищите в своих строительных магазинах…. Удачи!😊
In your pond will you put a solar water fountain with solar lights sold on Amazon?
Have u tried vinegar and water in a spray bottle, more vinegar than water. I use it for ants here in Canada. Its cheap and it can't hurt to try.❤
The garden is going to look beautiful with the patio stones and the lights. Well done you two!😁
This might sound horrible, but could you suck the centipedes up with a sweeper? then deposit them somewhere outside of your home in the countryside. Everything you and Sergi do with your home is absolutely beautiful. There is such a coziness and a hominess and the garden is beautiful ❤❤❤

The garden and the patio are going to look amazing with the new stone paving and the lights!
Try to use less regular water in the area infested with centipedes because they love moisture environment. May be scented with essential oils water from a basket is fine
Alla, if you want to clean the adhesive off the crazy pavers, use a heavy duty plastic scouring pad or metal kitchen scourer. 3M make the best types.
Looking great, as always!!

The lights, fountain and tiles will add to the beauty of the garden. Citronella or peppermint oil should help with the centipedes. ❤

Mint soap, lotion and spray cleaner used in the kitchen is a game changer.
I like the look of the stone messy
Usually it wears away naturally

You are such an inspiring garden! Love sharing your journey with you and Sergi
Today Cherie is driving . . . ❤🤣
You should be proud of your project, the flooring is looking amazing!

Maybe incorporate more lizards for the millipedes. Since it seems you did not have the issue before, maybe temporary.

Good Luck with your insect invasion. There is always a surprise waiting
Some interesting solutions given in the comments about the centipedes. I always learn some new gardening tips. :)
Boiling water would go faster…diatomaceous earth helps also…
Try moth balls or moth ball dust
Sprinkle it around or since you have a dog get small containers place around in the garden and by the walls
Such a gorgeous garden
Alla, be careful when using your bare hands in the soil in your little garden. If cats use that area they can carry a disease. 🙏.
Hi Alla & Sergei,The crazy paving is looking amazing, you’re doing a stunning job Alla !
White stone will look nice as a contrast!
you made a wonderfull garden take your time...

Per quel tipo di insetti: o Acido borico in polvere.
Oppure Cymina plus, disinfestante a base di cipermetrina concentrata.
Alla & Segi

because near your kitchen they like spices they could have been there for a long time as they keep coming back to place of birth I read that on you tube
after identifying the variety find someone a professional to help to get rid of them
Cherie has to be kept safe as she sits on that hanging seat near them
and the area to be treated
what you are using is not working
also look on the Internet for help when you locate the caterpillar you have
look at the markings design on its body
then get what is necessary for removal of it safely
do not touch the caterpillar they can be harmful too
Tea Tree oil works well on deterring and killing outdoor bugs.
Try 'diatomaceous earth' powder. Cuts up their exoskeleton & they basically bleed out.
Try putting down Diatomaceous Earth for the bugs. Reapply if it gets wet.
Rent a duck for those pests!

Yes. Piazzetta d’oro. Love love. ❤
Agapanthus split easily and grow fast

Do you have a Est department in your local council ?
If so enquire with them
Maybe spray vinegar and salt
Plant marigolds as trap plants for slugs- also jar lids with beer seems to drown them happy🤪
Would spraying with vinegar help to get rid of them ?
Looking good Alla, I love the green stones but you have great instinct. Whatever you decide will be beautiful! Great job on the lighting Sergi! I think he is a keeper Alla 😉❣❣❣

Lavender rosemary mint to keep them away

Fun episode! 🩷👏🏻👏🏻
Please be careful using the insecticide in your home. It could be harmful for you, Sergi, and your pup to inhale.
Alla will you put a light in the fountain? Hugs from Australia. ☺️🙏🏼🇦🇺🍷🌺
Alas, millipedes breed in stone. You would need to treat every crevice.
Im 1st!!!
