If I lost my footage from fancall I would be beyond devastated. My Purki fancall just recorded a black scene for everyone but Swan and I sobbed. So I think you are incredibly valid for that- you put in lots of work to get those fansigns (from one gom to another omg I’m exhausted lol- winning accidentally or otherwise)

i'm so sorry that happened to you! the shock and devastation must have been beyond difficult to handle. that apple employee should've met you with kindness and empathy, not some dismissive robot employee bullshit. take all the time you need to care for yourself and cry everything out when you need to without feeling shame or embarrassment for it. sending love and warm hugs!

I'm personally really glad you're back as you have inspired me to go for an accounting qualification as I'm doing bookkeeping at the moment after graduating with a maths degree so thank you :) also I will fight all the apple employees because first the guy on the phone and then the one in the store?! I'm sorry that happened to you. I think the majority of us would be devastated if it were to happen to us, I know I would be. While there may be people out there that will think it's silly or that you shouldn't feel the way you are there's a lot of us here who think your feelings are valid and are here to support you in any way we can. I for one am so happy to see you back on my screen, I literally squealed when I saw you had posted (although I am annoyed TH-cam didn't notify me of it until now!) because I love watching and listening to you. There's only about 3 people within the collecting community I can actually sit down and listen to for more than 5 minutes at a time and you are one of them. Thank you for making the decision to stay on this platform Shy

omg shy welcome back and i'm so sorry that happened to you. your feelings are completely valid, as soon as you said that you lost your fancall's footage i gasped out loud. i believe that losing any kind of media that was important to you is devastating, but specially for moments like those you worked hard for. do not think that you're being dramatic. i've had my phone stolen and lost a year worth's of memories because of it :( lots of love, feeling discouraged and sad because of this is completely understandable.
this happened to me once when i was like 14 and again when the family computer got stolen. I currently have most of my important files in an external disk and my important memories (grad pics, travel memories) in at least 2-3 different devices. I am so sorry this happened to you, especially with the fansigns. I really recommend from now on to have an online cloud or save on several devices. The pictures i have saved are so important to me i constantly back up my phone in case i get mugged LOL so i fully understand how upset you were.
Your feelings about losing that footage are so valid! I'm glad you came back, your videos are a source of joy for me because you're so much fun! Personally, I'd say you deserve to get another chance to talk to them again but also, I get what you mean when you say that it wouldn't be the same. I also never would have thought of myself as a fansign/fancall person but at the same time...I really want that opportunity at some point. We'll see what happens this era.

Hey shy, I'm glad you're back. You're my favorite gom and kpop youtuber. I'm sorry you lost your fancalls. Two things can be true at the same time, fancalls are not something you enjoy, and you can still be upset that your memories are gone. No one is allowed to invalidate your feelings. And I honestly relate to being stubborn when I get an idea in my head it needs to be done immediately.

I've lost all my data before when my hard drive completely died, and it truly is so devastating. Especially when you lose precious memories. I back everything up in two different locations now because I'm so paranoid after that experience. I'm sorry you had to go through that 🫂
As for your missing intro, can you download one of your youtube videos and extract your intro?
Yeah, I did that to get my birthday video up because I was too exhausted to make anything new. But the quality is horrendous unfortunately.. so I didn’t want to use it going forward because it makes me sad to look at the deteriorated footage 😩

Also: I'm sorry about what happened with the files.... - there's a reason why I don't use apple/trust apple employees / I would be mortified if i lost all my fancalls/fansigs and all memories that came along with it. / But, look at the bright side, it gave you knowledge and experience on what to do if it somehow ever happens again. Don't feel ashamed of being upset for losing all your memories because of someone's misguidance on solving an issue. Other people would feel the same way if that happened to them. -> STAY STRONG GIRL!

Just thinking... and also man... that must feel so heartbreaking and I cannot even imagine. While nobody can take our memories from our minds away, they do fade and having them in video format is important.

I'm so sorry to hear about about all this Shy, that Apple store worker should be ashamed of themselves... I was wondering though, could you perhaps download any of your old videos from the backend of TH-cam and then clip the intro section out to use in future videos?? Just a thought in case that's possible 🥲
