This is such a beautiful video! The editing, the content, the way you strung everything together so perfectly. I loved every second of it. The only thing I did get a little thrown by was to do with the first line of dialogue in the video. When Amy asked Eleven if he believed in something, all I could think of was Ten's speech to The Beast in the pit ("If I believe in one thing, just one thing, I believe in her.") I just thought that would've fit perfectly in the video somewhere. 💜
It was the moment he said "I'm so glad i met you." that i firmly believed that The Doctor fell in love with Rose Tyler. Standing at the precipice of certain death, the Gelth coming to kill them and take control of their bodies... The Doctor said to run while he set off a bomb to maybe save earth from disappearing beneath a dead race. Charlie old boy ran for his life, and Rose Tyler, a...chav (am i using that correctly? And what is a "chav" except a "dirty peasant from say that city that was struck down with people turned to salt...was it sexual depravity or depravity in general?? ) The explosion only seconds away, this 19 year old child who'd long ago ditched running away to join a circus, had run away with a "madman in a box" live or die she found it worth it. Without one nagging utterance of telling "she knows he's going to save their lives" or repetitions recriminating "she KNOWS-" she laced her fingers with his and made a statement that was to me all the more TRUE and a deeper understanding of her CHOICE to BE with The Doctor without the slightest expectation of ANYTHING - save for some chips, which she bought. "I'm so glad I met you." She tightened her fingers with his. "Me too." This love I believed because he didn't have to pay into it with trips to alien spas, being slapped so many times... ( is it because I'm American? I don't understand the "slap 'em" crap ) oh, and he doesn't have to take care of your psychotic daughter for centuries on, to the if not for luck, destruction of the universe. Come on people. Safe sex on the Tardis... I don't doubt the other companions, all have been friends -some a little "fair weather", to my taste, but Rose genuinely was "in love" with him, and I think he with her. Sorry for the speech. I'm going through my list of saved for years youtube videos and some are gone. Some places on the internet less permanent than i thought.
If you don't mind me asking, I'd love to know where you get the clips from the show 'cause I can't find where to get them. Oh, and this video is gorgeous!!!
