- Welcome to another day in the life of KevTee, where every journey brings a new adventure in the world of scrap car collection. Join me as I hit the road in my trusty 4 car transporter, navigating through towns and countryside to rescue vehicles that have reached the end of their road.
In each video, I take you along for the ride, sharing the ins and outs of my day-to-day work. From residential driveways to commercial lots, I encounter a variety of vehicles, each with its own story. Whether it's a classic car that's seen better days or a modern vehicle that's met an untimely end, I handle them all with care and professionalism.
My mission is more than just hauling away scrap; it's about sustainability and giving these cars a new lease on life, whether through recycling, salvaging parts, or even restoring them for the road. As part of the Charles Trent team, one of the country's leading vehicle recyclers, we're committed to eco-friendly practices, ensuring that each car is processed with the environment in mind.
So, buckle up and join me on this journey of discovery, challenges, and the occasional unexpected twist. Don't forget to subscribe for a regular dose of automotive adventures and insights into the fascinating world of vehicle recycling!

Well kev tee hope your enjoying your new Job from matthewduffin
I do collections in a van quite often and named houses are the worst. It really doesn’t take the customer much time or effort to provide the co-ordinates or what3words so I can drop a pin and not mess around trying to read a sign!! But of course, they never do. Great vid as always Kev! :)
Tell me about it. I stayed in an Airbnb once and the usual GPS apps led you to a street adjacent to the proper address (no numbers just house name). I just couldn't find the place and it was after a long drive and I was exhausted. Lots of phone calls and nothing worked. But eventually I found it, and after I settled in, I gave her the GPS coordinates and told her anyone could copy & paste the number into a sat nav and the landlady was ever so grateful. Not everyone knows how to do these things, unfortunately...
Long day at work now time to relax and watch this legend
I like the longer video 👍

Hi a newbie subscriber to you. I just wanna say I really enjoy your videos. You work very hard and have a great enthusiasm to your job.
Also the folded clipboard you have with the paperwork in remind me of school when the teachers would do the registers.

Kev is see a video no Trent it was brilliant you are brilliant for Trent keep the video coming
Great video Kev
Next time you're in Bridport, call in at the brewery and stock up with a few bottles. I did the brewery tour a few years ago and ended up with a serious tasting session.
I love watching your videos
Thanks, much appreciated 🤙🤙
Along the road where you turned around for the third car there is an outhouse/shed made of Purbeck stone and the roof is almost a complete single slab of stone! It always amazed me when I went by! For me that was my favourite round for my playing field mowing. I would have dinner in Corfe Castle school, on to Swanage Middle, up to Langton Matravers then back to Harmans Cross to finish off before the long slog back to Ferndown! I would have finished a lot earlier but I`d spend my diner half hour (more like an hour and a half) watching the trains at the bottom of Corfe Castle school playing field!
Awesome long video Kev
When I was multi-dropping, I hated those roads where the houses were named, not numbered, because you had no idea how far down you had to go to find the one you wanted, and what three words hadn't been invented!
Amazing how many people have named cottages etc then have a house sign in a obscure place and are aware people have difficulty finding then !! Maybe "what 3 words " app would be easy for these people to download on their phone . I find it helpful in my job as i cover a rural area in my job
You are awesome kev
The cash guy in gold you should keep it kev for your good self a nice chesp project car it wont cost much for you to fix up
Just love named house. The cottage !
Great video Kev as always, also il be attending Devon truck show and hope to meet you there, just a thought it may have been suggested but I think the app DELM8 would be good for you as it will take you to the exact location (addresses) your looking for from The postcode, it throws up house numbers and names, would be amazing help when your out in the horrible lanes and busy areas, I used it when I done 18t work and it never let me down and other I also knew who used it, See you in Devon 😄
I love the channel thx kev
Great video Kev - and a full old day!
The rubber gloves - is that part of company procedure to protect against "minging" cars, safety, a carryover from Covid, or something personal? Thanks!
Kev the caddy van uou picked ip in blue will you please keep it as you could convert it into a stealth camping veichle for you kev then you could go back up to scotland
Should have used that motorbike to find that house in the country lanes motorbike Kev😅
With that first one thats one of the reasons for all our insurance premiums soaring this year 😡 surely there will be someone somewhere who could repair that ding for a reasonable price.
The government don't want that. They want us all leasing disposable EVs.
people just need to stand ground and fight for car to be fixed even if you argue for month. i got lucky, my fiesta 07 diesel i got my money back what i paid but yes car was in better condition than when i got it and nice shinny so visuals prob helped. i got back £1900 same i paid a year before, but took me 5 years to get 400£ excess out that back plus tad extra, now got far better car than last two. but car was written off by old lady on false plates, slips the clutch getting ticket at gate hit gas rams me bounces off me comes back for another hit what pushes me in to brand new car in front. everything she gave was fake and she easy in her 70's, i hope i never see her again. but got lucky as driving only 1 year at the time but some how i kept the 1 year no claims and they paid out the true value. sadly fiesta was written off the frame of the car was twisted, really struggled to open boot just few light scratches no dents but the boot never locked or catches again no matter how hard slammed it , slammed so hard bumper covers fell out so sadly no saving that car but at least i got lucky, fully comp for sure helped, it was free insurance for the year or total cost car. since then stuck with Hyundai i20 went from 2011 gen 1 to 2015 shape top spec , it has everything from pan roof to heated seats, wheel and mirrors and lot more all thanks to that old lady but years headaches going to appointment's. decided to gt highest spec as this car i plan to keep a very long time and most id ever spend on car so it must last. but heard horror story's others with insurance, guy got his car stolen offered £250 i think but his insurance went up more that he been better off not telling them and that makes you think is that what insurance is for but the way they acted that not insurance that theft what legalized. people need to stand ground more for sure. few good vids on investigation in to insurance by popular you-tuber who has lot super cars it very interesting and so wrong what they doing, it recommended watch and reason i say stand your ground
I'm intrigued. Why do you wear latex gloves when loading the cars? Have you had a bad experience? I suppose some cars have some nasty surprises.
By the looks of it you have Android but I’m a delivery driver and Apple Maps has never failed me for house names and always to the door! Vain of any delivery/ collection drivers life is house names especially when customer doesn’t leave any notes!
Great video as always. I am looking for a little bit of help/advice on how to go about finding a job. I have passed my C+E early this month, and I'm struggling to locate a job for new drivers as most companies want a minimum of 12months experience. I have signed up with a few agencies, but no callbacks as of yet.
Hi Kev nice local video thought you where going to put the bike on the spec don’t you just love houses just with names & no numbers 😢
Hi Kev. When you have loaded a car, do you put the hand brake on and leave the car in gear, or do you rerly on the hand brake and straps to hold it.?
Blimey Kev you've git a few lorries there mate.
It just shows how big Trents are.
Surprising how easily an Insurance will write a car off, like used to be pretty serious accident to cause them to write a car off, now only writing the car off for superficial damage like a new bonnet for the Nissan Qashqui? I know my car was 50/50 on whether it was a write off seen as would cost £2,000 - £4,000 a garage quoted by photos, but then the rental car and the waiting time was around 4 months waiting, and with the rental cars costing so much then nearly a total insurance write off as car was only worth £7,000. it must be because rental cars costing so much that the insurance is writing off the slightest bumps as well.
Hey keV the mishibishi you should keep that car Kevin it least itbrund and drives it would be s nice project car for you salcage it take it home kev to your house project for you don't let trents brake it
Salvage the very nice mishibishi car in white Kevin it least it runs and drives you should keep it for your self very nice project for you
Kevin the cash guy car you should keep this old carand get the repairs done then get her an mot and insurance get it back on the foad nice car and it drives and starts another project car for your pile of nice cars to salvage
Good vid ....looks like you have an oil leak...
Never really understood heated seats, just feels like you've pissed yourself.
Write off damage to the door and sill. ?
Was watching salvage rebuilds earlier. Their most recent purchase is a BMW X3 that’s been written off for hardly any more then that really.
It’s often cheaper to replace the vehicle (for the insurance company that is) then pay up for a hire car, parts and repairs (plus any potential snagging or quality issues).
To in a week kev good stuff
Kev, Step away from that Nissan Primera
Really hate named properties stupidly small signs that you can’t see from 2ft away or hidden behind a 🤬🤬🤬 tree or on post that’s only visible from one direction
And the owners are like oh yeah delivery folk have a problem finding us 🤔
You need the scania back
I need many things and a Scania most definitely isn't one of them 😂
The noise out of your truck is bad for a new truck
26:00 why are you so stubborn? Call the customer, would be so much quicker
I can't believe people scrap cars for some trivial reasons.
Your not a class 1 HGV driver, you hold that licence but your not driving class 1
Incorrect, a class 1 licence is a requirement of the job, I am a class 1 driver, try not to get too but hurt about it bud.
SO whats wroung with MOTORBIKE ????? . BEING only 125 cheap run around .
Any damage on a motorbike they write it off even the bikes been dropped on its side it written off.
OVER last 40 yrs 1982 ish rebuilt many motor bikes with minor damadge . THE LAW is the bike is still your property until you agree with insurance company on settlement. YOU have the wright to keep it & ur property until such times . if insurance what to do & assetnment they can come to your property to do it . YEP lot folk give up just take settletnment & let bike/ car be towed away . SOME cars KEV , T pick up cheap repair provide cheap runaround many years to come . SAD REALLY .
