My top 2 favourite layouts are the Monkchester and Hills Of The North layouts because I love the steam locomotives hauling long haul passenger trains!!
That first O gauge! No people anywhere, none on footplates, none on the guard's van, no animals in the trucks. I have them on my T-gauge layouts. Too many layouts have no drivers in cars, lorries, buses, on the roads, no passengers on the buses and trains. I always thought that model railways were modelled on real life.
The banker arriving at 5:20 made me smile for some reason!
