So pretty, and I love the little trick you used to keep them in place. We always make these for our tree with some dried oranges every year. It does make the house smell amazing.
Your reindeer are adorable. I’ve made this recipe over the yrs and used gingerbread man cookie cutters. They make wonderful garlands, ornaments & package decorations. Such a great kid friendly project.
Thank you for the reindeer garland recipe and how to! Even thou my hubby and I are empty nesters I love Christmas and I plan to make this easy garland. I enjoy your channel and love how you have done your home! I love the New England style and I decorate my home in this style too. your State of New Jersey and my State Maryland are typically not a part of New England but we both have alot of history and that makes us both close enough. You have a darling little family and I watch your channel all the time.I very much enjoy it and you too. Happy Holidays to you and your family!😊
I honestly think Hilary these are just soo beautiful, thankyou for showing how to make them, where you’ve put them is the perfect spot and love the twine you made xxx
Hilary, I love your simple and sweet decor ideas. Such a joy to see when many people are strapped for ideas and money during this season. To enjoy what nature offers and the little things sure make the season what it is about. Thank you so much....
Thanks for sharing! My husband and I may be our first Christmas and I still use them to decorate our tree. Thank you for including the detail about how to keep them from turning. So helpful!
Hi Hillary, Love your style very much!! Everything looks so simple and beautiful. You seem to be a very sweet and adorable person. Could you please tell me who sings Angels Heard on High on this video and other previous video? Thank you! Eme Xox, from Richardson, texas
I just purchased my applesauce last week and waited for our early Thanksgiving to be over to start making these! I used to add glue (and my father added saw dust), but when I saw how smooth yours were, I was excited to make them this way! I have the same copper cookie cutter that I have used for maybe 50 years or so. Our ornaments will be hanging ( I think) from a chandelier wreath inspired by a magazine picture I saved and on our trees. Thank you for sharing your tips!
Good Morning Hillary 🌲 Thank you for the tutorial , I will be making these today ❤ I am not a grandma yet lol, but this will be a treasured recipe for when the time comes ! Love from Washington St 🌲
I think I made mine right around the same time you posted your last video about them (you gave me the idea lol) and I definitely want to make some more this year to refresh my supply. They smell so good and they’re so simple and classic. Love them. 🦌
Perfect timing! I've been waiting for this video- I've got my Costco cinnamon, reindeer cookie cutter and baker's twine all sitting out on the kitchen table, just waiting to become Rudolph and the Team:) Thank you for sharing this again this year. I love your classic holiday decor, can't wait for your Vlogmas!
That's 200 Fahrenheit. Don't be silly and forget to convert this to Celcius if you cook with Celcius. Let's just say I might be speaking from experience. Don't worry, I made a second and successful batch last year and plan to reuse it this Christmas. Thanks again for the inspiration, Hilary! Yours look gorgeous among the greenery.
I made the snowflakes. I might just have to make reindeer too !! I have the perfect spot for them my friend, and yes they make the house smell amazing. This year I want to try the oranges as well. I love how yours look with the real green just pops against the white. Will you be doing Vlogmas darling?
So needless to say, don’t pull out my $8.00 jar of Vietnamese cinnamon. Lol. Btw, for regular baking you’ll never go back to regular cinnamon. That’s what I use for baking. I’m going to the dollar store for $1.00 cinnamon. I can’t wait to make these. They were adorable.
I get a huge 10 oz bottle of Saigon cinnamon from Costco for $3 or $4. It's excellent for baking and totally worth the cost for this project, the fragrance is so lush and lovely.
These are adorable. We cant buy apple sauce in large quantities here in the UK. I’m going to try to get some small cans which we can buy to serve with roast pork if I can find them although I haven’t seen them in the shops lately. What do you use such large quantities of apple sauce for in the US
Mostly children eat it as a snack. It is also served as a side with potato pancakes or pork. Some people also use it as a fat replacer when baking muffins and cakes.
Oh no I tried this today and I don’t know what I did wrong but they did not work. It was either to dry or to wet. I tried to follow someone else’s recipe with the glue and again didn’t work I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. But of well on to the orange slices.
Lovely. Such great ideas. Thank you for sharing your talent.they
Cinnamon ornaments are my favorite Christmas scent.

Classic and beautiful.......💞😊
The thumbs down reactions were people who mistakenly thought it was Opposite Day. Love these, Hilary!

I loved your little helpers hands. 💞
A quintessential Hilary project - taking natural elements and incorporating them beautifully into home decor. Gorgeous. Have a lovely day 😊.
I look forward to seeing this video every year along with the paperwhites.
Thanks for this recipe. I'm going to try to create stars on sticks to add to a table arrangement.
Beautiful
Adorable and so festive.

I love how simply creative you are!! Definitely going to make these this year... maybe in a star cut out? Possibilities are endless!
Gingerbread men garlands/ornaments are cute too! You can use white puffy paints to outline them.
How wonderful and what a great Christmas DIY!
I tried these the last time you shared them on your channel. Ours are starting to crumble. I see a project to do this week on Thanksgiving break!
Such a cute idea & a great idea to make with one's kids.
Greetings from South Africa

@@jessicaz.1901 thanks for the info. I’ve always wondered about it. The only thing we use apple sauce with is roast pork 😃
@@susanholding158 You're welcome 😊
@Susan S it’s so strange that it’s just not something we use very much in the UK
So lovely! Can you keep them year on year?
Yes a absolutely ❤️
What a cute idea. Sorry if I missed it but do you put the glitter on after they bake? I think I’m going to try this. ❤️🎄. Thanks for sharing 💞
Yes after 💛
Love this idea! Does the smell last on them or does it fade when they've cooled? X
The scent lasts for years, it’s the strongest at first but still smells lovely years later
I'm considering doing this using my dehydrator would that work?
Not sure, worth a shot I suppose
How long does the scent last
Years ❤️
