Plz dont take his video seriously...only and only if u have lkhs and crore amount for adjustment then u can exit with profit then only think abt option selling...he himself manytimes made huge loss but finally exit in someprofit bcoz he pumped crore rupees in a day for adjustment...recently manu bhatia also faced 80 lkh loss in a day....so option selling is for deep pockets...if u have then go ahead otherwise cash and option buying with small target and quick exit

Suppose i buy an option for 15000 CE, the contract value 1125000₹. But is all the money i have to pay is the premium which will be some 3k...even if it goes to 0, my loss is 3k only.
Whereas to sell a similar option, i need to cough up atleast 1.5 lakh....and if market moves big....i end up losing not only the 1.5L but maybe even 10L or 20L depending on how big the move is..

But, option spelling has a lot of risk to small retailers. Because, unlimited risk if it goes against of our prediction. It requires so much of money for fire fighting like adjustments.

Thank you Sundar sir for your time and effort for making this video. I would like to know few things. Please answer if it is possible or include in other videos that you are planning to make.
1) When to exit from the trade(option selling)? I assume wait till the options get expire and the premium credits if it doesn’t cross the breakeven. Or do we need to exit before the expiry? if so, what would be the ideal time?
2) what about stoploss if the trade move opposite direction and most likely to break the breakeven much before the expiry?
Your question is like buying option keeping a sl...option selling is different ..they hedge their sold option and price change according to iv and theta ( time) ..just selling naked option and keeping sl is like just buying option keep sl...but option selling is like skill of adjustments and roll up and down of strikes ...a wrong strike move can vanish your profits and even your capital there is no sl if you hedge your position
Index option selling in intraday is best or positional?
i like the way to create a meaningful suspense and at end say the reason will be explained in next video... keeps the excitement among viewers. Thanks for explaining things in simpler way.

Selling cost is more compared to buying.
Since options is great for sellers, the selling margin is charged more.
For ex: to sell a 10rs premium of xx strike price.we have to pay nearly 1lkah for nifty.
10 crore profit with what capital Sir so that we can understand realistic ROI expectation
Anywhere from 12-15% .... Could be as high as 30%
About 8 crores .

The answer to your last question is option selling is not a easy job... Margin money per lot is around 1.7 lakhs and involves unlimited risk. So inexperienced traders will never take a chance to sell options. Usually big institutions sell and retailers like me will buy.

Option buying is for only hedging....if you want to trade ..trade in futures

I FEEL LIKE ARJUNA AND YOU ARE MY DRONACHARYA 😁, I HAVE A DOUBT SIR ..SEE PRACTICALLY WHEN I BUY A CALL OPTION LETS SAY 15000 CE which will expire next month say may, when the market is at say 14700, I will start getting profit if just the market moves just 10 or twenty points higher ..when I read about it they said that is because of option geeks alpha beta and gamma. I can't tally what you said and what happens in real time market, can you please throw some light on this
Option Geeks are Delta, Gamma, Theta. You can google it. Say for example if you buy 15000 CE at 14700 so if the price move towards 14800 defenetly your option price will increase due to Delta value but at the end of expiry if the price didnt cross 15000 the Option price will expire worthless as 0 due to Theta time value. Option buying is good for intra day. You cant do positional trade with option buy ultimately it will expire as 0. For intra day theta value will not be affected much and if price increase due to delta your option will increase so quickly book profit and exit. if you hold it will melt as ice cream if there is any down move.

@@JohnDoe-vh7vc But I am not targeting high profits only 3%per month& 36% per annum only. It's not at all riskiy bcz for that profits you can go on with extremely lower put and lower call. And I am always preferred to maintain 50% liquidity... Which helps to resolve critical situation...

Sir in the above case we can buy 14700 or 14600 call if we are a buyer. so on expiry, we can get 100 or 200 premium. even in that case we loose 230 we paid as permium.

@@ytayade254 You need to sell out of the money (OTM) strick price just before 2 hours to expiry if price still in OTM you premium will decay and you can earn that amount.

Eg. If you sell an Option and get Rs.150 as premium, until expiry, the premium will keep swinging depending on how the market is performing at the moment. If it goes to Rs.100 and if you're happy with Rs.50 profit (Selling for 150, Buying/Squaring off for 100, profit=50) you can exit. But if you believe the Option will expire favorably at expiry, you can choose to hold the position till expiry day, then you can entire Rs.150 as profit (Selling for 150, Premium goes to 0, profit=150)
