Elachee is one of the premier environmental education centers in Georgia serving 35,000 students from more than 22 school systems and an additional 30,000 visitors to the museum and Preserve each year.
Our campus consists of a 1,500 acre forest nature preserve with 13 miles of hiking trails. The preserve serves as a plant and animal sanctuary and an ideal outdoor classroom. Our Center houses an interactive museum that will excite and educate visitors of all ages.
Through our environmental education programs we strive to instill an appreciation, understanding, and concern for the natural world, fostering an interest in personal commitment to preserving our natural resources and the environment for future generations to enjoy.
