I think what C!dream did in exile was a bit toned down it was cruel he didn't just blow up his stuff C!Tommy almost off himself because of dream telling him that no one cared about him and saying stuff like he was his only friend. And C! Tommy and Ranboo griefed and burned down Georges's house yet Tommy was the only one punished. I think tommys already received enough punishment with the amount odd times his house was blown up and destroyed XD
I do agree that it seemed a bit toned down, but she was going for a resume of everything so obviously she didn't go in detail about people weren't the focus there But I'd like to add, that while of course it was messed up to have Dream saying those things to Tommy, he did not have direct play into the action, the only involvement he had on this kind of thing was when he stopped Tommy from jumping no lava. It just happens that when getting to a point, people downplay the consequences of what they say or do on the mental state of the victim :/ And it happens to Tommy, on social isolation and power plays by Dream, but it also happens to Dream on the prison, in a way more intense way that probably actually broke him finally. Ranboo was not punished like Tommy because Ranboo wasn't ALWAYS a problem! It was the first time Ranboo did something bad, not Tommy's. Ranboo had just arrived on the server, there was a possibility he didn't know the rules of the server and still could learn, Tommy had been here for a LONG time, and didn't seem to learn even one thing! This also answers on about Tommy having "received enough punishment", for Dream, it wasn't about proportions, it was about learning. Tommy never showed respect for him, and never seemed to improve. We should've expected him to explode on Tommy sometime. And lastly, Ranboo was a normal, neutral citizen, Tommy was the VICE PRESIDENT of a country! You can't just burn someone else's house! He had an important title! If people didn't want him to bear the consequences of his actions, they shouldn't have given him such a big responsibility in the first place.

Its amazing! The first dsmp reaction video to the dream is t the villain therory where people are listening and just thinking about it. Even Tommy. It was absolutely great!

This makes a lot of sense but she left out key details that stood for why he was a villain, (Realize I said 'A' villain not 'The' villain) Dreams character in the dream SMP is a bad person. Yes others have made bad choices, but she only explained parts that would help Dream like she a lawyer who only wanted Dream to win the battle, yes she may have read the story but she missed a few paragraphs, she didn't show us the whole picture. Dream has done terrible things to Tommy which could have been in her cause but he didn't need to beat him to death, or traumatize him. Tommy has done terrible things, I won't say he hasn't but I do believe no one deserved to go through what he did. There is a right and a wrong way to change someone for the better Dream chose the wrong way. A famous line: "Don't you see history repeating itself?!" Every villain thinks they are doing something for the better, Hitler thought he was doing the world a service, Putin thinks he has a good reason to invade Ukraine but there all villains right? I truly believe Dream is a villain, but so is Tommy, or Quackity, Techno, Sam, Tubbo, Phil, Will, Punz, George, Sapnap, Karl, or even Ranboo! But some may be treated as the hero. Dream will always be the hero in his own story. If you think of this as a book, they all have different perpectives. If it was written from Dreams point of veiw it would be different from Tubbo. In reality I think we all need to accept that no one is completely innocent and no one is completely evil. OMG I'm so proud of myself, like I just wrote this whole paragraph and it actually made sense!!
These types of videos bring back so many memories and I'm so happy you haven't deleted it. I love these types of videos as they remind me of when the SMP started, so much nostalgia.
Dream gets so much hate even as a person, he just tell people to never give up and they will reach their dreams if keep going, and believes in us. And how we react? Horrible. We don't deserve him....i just break my heart seeing people being mean to such a kind person.

This video is true, but this whole thing is a roleplay. dream and the other members got deep into it. They seemed to enjoy it and each roleplay created more lore. So yes, this is accurate.
Dream sacrificed himself for peace… why would he do it. He was like the end of the puzzle, the key to freedom and joy but… he chose peace over himself. A very mindful man. Respect to the work of the gacha character XD.
Two sides of the same coin, I’d wager everyone is a villain. I mean none of them are saints, but there’s the flip side where they all have their own opinions and believe they’re the hero of the story. We all have good and dark sides it’s the part we choose to act on that really matters. No ones born a villain, I’d say that can be said for dream and for everyone else. One things clear In the DSMP it’s hard to say who’s really the hero and the villain, it could be all of them or it could be none of them, but watching the chaos of trying to figure out the true villain is fun. And with Dream out there’s plenty of chaos to go around.

@@sp4c1ng_0ut8 In my defense it was like 2 in the morning when I wrote that so I probably could have worded that a bit better. I meant only some believe that. When I said I hero I might kind of like the general idea of believing you’re doing the right thing. Hero was probably the wrong word there but it made sense to my 2am brain lol. You’re not wrong Tommy is just Tommy, he has his own beliefs just the rest of them. Techno believes Tommy sees himself as the hero considering that one line, “You think you’re a hero Tommy, then die like one.” That line always stuck out to me. Doesn’t mean he’s a hero just means he has strong belief that he sticks to. At the end of the day it’s just Minecraft though so I try not to take it too seriously it’s just a fun thing to watch.

He's also said something about not liking Tommy because of how he's the only one who he can't contain. (exile) And no, Dream did react to the situation, quite defensively actually. Dude was trying to turn things around to avoid getting killed, even pulling the "We were friends" card in a desperate attempt before admitting that he could revive others. Those are not things you'd do if you were content with losing. I do get that it's just a theory, and that they were trying to explain their point of view on Dream, I just didn't see how him going against everyone else in order to force his own ideology isn't a villainous thing to do. His definition of peace is different from what everyone else would consider peaceful, for them it doesn't matter if they can control everyone else in order to maintain the peace, only Dream sees that.

I'm talking about when he's about to kill Tubbo, but gets stopped by everyone else and tries to bail out of losing all his canon lives to Tommy, and you of when Tommy was stuck in the jail cell with Dream. The video was talking about Dream being caught and stopped. I also never said that everyone else were the good guys, it's been made pretty clear to the viewers that no one's in the right nor the wrong, and that they're all in this grey area, especially Tommy. What makes Dream a bad guy in particular is that he gets in the way of progress on the server if he can't control it. Quackity said it the best, he gets involved where he doesn't belong and tries to manipulate the situations in his favour. He creates conflict where there wasn't conflict to begin with. Examples; Why would he snitch on Sapnap's pets' hiding place when the pet wars were going on? Why was he even involved in the conflict between George and Eret + El Rapids? It's fine to like c!Dream (he's amazingly written in my opinion, and the acting is actually bonechilling), and naturally you can have headcanons like with any other character, but you can't just talk about the good without mentioning some of the bad, or try to justify all of it. Doing so ruins the whole point of a character, and leaves little to no room for character development. Dream being a kind of dictator makes the series interesting, because you don't expect the very owner of the smp to be the power-hungry control freak in the story, even if it makes complete sense from a theoretical point of view.

This video is true, but this whole thing is a roleplay. dream and the other members got deep into it. They seemed to enjoy it and each roleplay created more lore. So yes, this is accurate.

Two sides of the same coin, I’d wager everyone is a villain. I mean none of them are saints, but there’s the flip side where they all have their own opinions and believe they’re the hero of the story. We all have good and dark sides it’s the part we choose to act on that really matters. No ones born a villain, I’d say that can be said for dream and for everyone else. One things clear In the DSMP it’s hard to say who’s really the hero and the villain, it could be all of them or it could be none of them, but watching the chaos of trying to figure out the true villain is fun. And with Dream out there’s plenty of chaos to go around.

@@sp4c1ng_0ut8 In my defense it was like 2 in the morning when I wrote that so I probably could have worded that a bit better. I meant only some believe that. When I said I hero I might kind of like the general idea of believing you’re doing the right thing. Hero was probably the wrong word there but it made sense to my 2am brain lol. You’re not wrong Tommy is just Tommy, he has his own beliefs just the rest of them. Techno believes Tommy sees himself as the hero considering that one line, “You think you’re a hero Tommy, then die like one.” That line always stuck out to me. Doesn’t mean he’s a hero just means he has strong belief that he sticks to. At the end of the day it’s just Minecraft though so I try not to take it too seriously it’s just a fun thing to watch.

And no, Dream did react to the situation, quite defensively actually. Dude was trying to turn things around to avoid getting killed, even pulling the "We were friends" card in a desperate attempt before admitting that he could revive others. Those are not things you'd do if you were content with losing.
I do get that it's just a theory, and that they were trying to explain their point of view on Dream, I just didn't see how him going against everyone else in order to force his own ideology isn't a villainous thing to do. His definition of peace is different from what everyone else would consider peaceful, for them it doesn't matter if they can control everyone else in order to maintain the peace, only Dream sees that.

I really don't see it, he said it on the same tone he always uses to taunt Tommy. You know like, how obviously Tommy would get pissed at Dream for saying they had so much *fun* together. He does not sound desperate at all. He even right after says "You said I'm not gonna kill you and I know you're not gonna kill me." He knew for a fact that, even if not Tommy, he could convince people that he still had his value.
I don't see how it is? I mean, the ways he started using after George's house was burned, maybe, but you're saying it like everyone's innocent there. Which, I'm sorry to say, they definitely aren't.
You say that his definition of peace was different from theirs, but was it really? His definition of peace was literally to just follow the servers BASIC rules! There were only 3 of them! It shouldn't be that hard!
Why is not wanting people to steal, grief or hurt each other a bad thing? His idea wasn't bad, he just wasn't capable of making some people listen, like Tommy or Wilbur, unless he used force. But Tommy never really learned anything and still had the advantage of being protected by people. While Dream was trying to make things better for everyone just to be abandoned by the people he's been trying to give peace to.
I find it really unfair that he's seen as a bad guy for wanting HIS server to be peaceful and his FRIENDS to not fight.

I'm talking about when he's about to kill Tubbo, but gets stopped by everyone else and tries to bail out of losing all his canon lives to Tommy, and you of when Tommy was stuck in the jail cell with Dream. The video was talking about Dream being caught and stopped.
I also never said that everyone else were the good guys, it's been made pretty clear to the viewers that no one's in the right nor the wrong, and that they're all in this grey area, especially Tommy. What makes Dream a bad guy in particular is that he gets in the way of progress on the server if he can't control it. Quackity said it the best, he gets involved where he doesn't belong and tries to manipulate the situations in his favour. He creates conflict where there wasn't conflict to begin with.
Examples; Why would he snitch on Sapnap's pets' hiding place when the pet wars were going on? Why was he even involved in the conflict between George and Eret + El Rapids?
It's fine to like c!Dream (he's amazingly written in my opinion, and the acting is actually bonechilling), and naturally you can have headcanons like with any other character, but you can't just talk about the good without mentioning some of the bad, or try to justify all of it. Doing so ruins the whole point of a character, and leaves little to no room for character development. Dream being a kind of dictator makes the series interesting, because you don't expect the very owner of the smp to be the power-hungry control freak in the story, even if it makes complete sense from a theoretical point of view.
