    What a sweet sounding horn! Impressive quilling. I'm planning on getting TCS and LokSound V.4 decoders. Soundtraxx's Tsunami definitely has some serious competition.

      +ACLTony Try a Soundtraxx economi..They fixed the lousy Tsumani horn and have more going for them ,but lack reverb .Some of the horns already have it.Seems like a great response to competition for a much better price.

      +HARPO1ME Hi. I haven't been a big fan of the Soundtraxx units because their motor control, generally, is not as smooth performing as Loksound's and TCS'. Plus the horns I've heard are the same ones from 10 years ago. So you're saying that Soundtraxx has updated it's horns? Or did they just take the same horn sounds and remix them to a higher volume?

    • @HARPO1ME
      @HARPO1ME 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The horns arE much louder and some have a reverb kind of quill to them.Less synthesized sound .More raw realistic sound to them.They do not seem to need the reverb .Seems like a mix of old and new plus you get a assortment of different bells that are all quite nice that seems that ring out with some more sustain .They have improved the prime movers across the board on this .New start up and shut down sequence along with a Estop sound effect.Mapping of sounds fOr F&R.!3 types of couples sounds,2 different compressors.This is a 1 amp version that is very small that Comes with thin but super flexible braided brass wire .Same Tsumani brake sequel.The pop off air valves are adjustable.They seem to be showing off of what is coming to replace Tsumani,,,.Impressive .at 65 dollars US ship included.

    I can't believe how much better these HO scale train sound systems sound than the O gauge trains! I have spent a lot of time around trains and This sound just like the real thing. Is it possible to have this installed on my O gauge engines?

    Amazing! Although, I still think ESU is better, this one has way more horns and bells (and some sound better than ESU's) but I still think ESU has the prime movers down. Also: 0:06 oops? lol

    I would get this just for the ALCo sounds!!
    I wish they had added a GE FDL-12... Would've been great in my U18s.

    The 3 GE sound good but on the ALCO 251 is it the 251-V12 or 251-V16
    Thanks for the review

    Is it possible to installing Wow Sound,Speakers and Decoder in a 0 Scale MTH Premier SD70ACe 2 Rail DCC engine? because we used DCC Lenz or ESU in Europe thx - Innovation on tracks

      +bigtoysforlargeboys The TCS Wow decoders are not designed for O scale motor requirements. I currently only do HO scale installations. Thanks for watching

    this may sound stupid i have a bachmann Dash8-40cw with 8 pin dcc on board can i just plug this in or do i need to remove old and hard wire in this ?

    • @BradleyDCC
      @BradleyDCC  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You may be able to use the Wow 101 with an 8-pin NMRA plug adaptor

    Nice engine start up! Where's the smoke? I just can't get past that fact, sound but no smoke. Why waste money on sound decoders? I'd rather have more loco's with just plain dcc. I currently have 166 loco and I don't miss sound at all.

      @dhoughton4478 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have an excellent imagination!! Keep it up! I have real problems with the "tinneyness (sp?) of the sound. Only a bigger speaker can cure that but I don't think I can get a 12 inch woofer in the darn thing!

    • @BradleyDCC

      It was the Wow-101 I believe though TCS now makes some very handy sound kits designed to fit various models such as this one using a 21-pin decoder and motherboard.

    I like the WOW Sound sounds but I hate the Grade crossing horn feature. the nimwits record the horns being quill ed which is un prototypical too ALL modern locomotives Except Amtrak engines. They should have Two options for this. Modern no quill and Vintage quill

    • @ETSRRCo
      @ETSRRCo 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are multiple prerecorded crossing recordings that you can pick from. Not all are quills.

    • @ETSRRCo
      @ETSRRCo 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are multiple prerecorded crossing on the decoders and not all are quills. Or you can just not use the feature and use the long and short horn blast function nimwit

    • @ETSRRCo
      @ETSRRCo 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ESU doesn't even come close to the quality of a TCS decoder.

    • @railroadpics
      @railroadpics 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ETSRRCo Actually they do. Plus I heard a few stories of TCS smoking up and screwing up locomotive lights.

    • @ETSRRCo
      @ETSRRCo 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +railroadpics _ I most humbly disagree. Some of their audio is comparable but still not the same quality and the overall functionality of the TCS decoders is much better.

    • @railroadpics
      @railroadpics 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From the videos I've seen, LokSound still has better motor control at slow speeds. Until Companies switch to TCS I will think there even.

      ESU does not have a AUTOMATIC load function for the prime mover WHEN GOING UP A GRADE WITH A HEAVY DRAG. Funny QSI had it when they came out with QA1 late 90's stuff that was pretty good as long as you left the chip alone and they were upgrade-able. QSI let therselves go and fell behind. Easy for them to catch up since they know what they are doing. Not going into it new. ..They also used a index cv set up that only now is Soundtraxx using with their Tsumani 2 that is also very impressive and it loads the sound of the prime mover. They are all good now. How far can they go. Sound in z scale?
