Moreover let's assume I got my Fingure fractured.. for which I was bed Rest is not Mandatory.. I was using the Clip advised by the Doctor.. I was Unable to do my office Work such as typing and all.. will I be eligible to get the Claim..
No Sir, claim will not be paid in this case- this will not count under bed rest. If you had opted for higher varaints in which broken bones benefit is covered, then the fracture would have been covered.
"If an Insured Person suffers a Temporary Total Disability and is unable to go to work and perform his/her duties" This is the Policy wording for TTD. Here it is clearly mentioned that unable to go to work and perform his duties.. now explain.
I had hdfc ergo plan earlier even though there was bureaucracy they eventually responded and accepted claim... I ported to Niva bupa the company blatantly refused claims and follows unethical practices... they promised in writing that continuity benefit of previous policy will be applied in starting of the policy document in carefully added words and on email but some where in 20 th page added waiting period clause and rejected my claim. I was very particular to the sales executive who was niva bupa employee that if there is a waiting period I won't port and then he gave me a written commitment I shared the same Email to their greciences team but they don't seem to care. When I call their support desk they say porting allows me to have waiting period waiver benefit and they have escalated internally but I don't think they do anything rather they put me on hold for 20+ minutes. They assure me that I will get call or approval or update within few minutes but nothing happens.. I continously followed upto 4 days and finally gave up... conclusion it is a fraud company
