    Coach JB this rant made me think of a segment you might considering doing and call it RPS, Real People Shit. Regarding the 2nd Amendment the core of it is simply to protect the 1st Amendment against a tyrannical government because the founders of this country knew how tyrannical Britain really was. You did a great deep dive.

    Two imperative questions in America today that continue to go unanswered:
    What is causing young white men to not value their own lives (suicide)?
    What is causing young black men to not value the lives of others (gang violence)?

    Well said Coach JB and I've been trying to tell my homies the same thing because they have merged the weak-minded individuals with mental health, as a excuse for their entitled, lack of discipline, behavior! I knew that mental health excuse was bs once CELEBRITIES were used to promote mental health years ago!

    When 2nd amendment was written it was intended for protection against a tyrannical government. At that time citizens and the government / military had the exact same battle rifles; i.e. muskets. Imo shouldn’t be any different today. By far there’s more murders committed with handguns than AR 15s. Just some food for thought. Thanks for the vid Coach 👍👍

    • @NathanAnderson-o3i
      @NathanAnderson-o3i 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 2nd amendment's intent is explicit and describes its purpose as maintaining a well-regulated militia because the country was young and fragile. State militias were used to stamp out internal threats like the Whiskey Rebellion (the opposite of your assertion) and external threats like the War of 1812. For the war of 1812, the US Army had less than 7k men and called up nearly 500k from the state militias.

    As recent as the 1980s, there were still a few psychiatrists (M.D.) who wrote books warning, if not IMPLORING ANYONE WHO'D LISTEN, to take caution in removing stigma and medicalizing all manner of bad behavior.
    I'm dating myself, but does anyone remember the "Twinkie defense"??

  • @Chalk89

    A few thoughts...
    - Am I the only one who laughs at the comments, 'we can't even have parades now!' Well, we have boys and girls in our inner cities that can't even play on their front porch because of senseless gun violence but we have normalized that.
    - Gun laws aren't going to stop criminals from obtaining a firearm.
    - We need our judges, prosecutors and whomever else is involved in enforcing our laws to do so and stop giving third, fourth and 15th chances to criminals.
    As someone who was born and raised in Philadelphia, now live just a few miles outside of Baltimore...nothing will change because criminals have more rights than law abiding citizens.

    What are your thoughts on the new video released today of the dispute? Does this change your perspective of the incident?
    You also mention in your take that people are born with mental illness and that you either have it or you don’t. I’m curious about your take on someone who goes through something traumatic/violent, e.g., someone’s whole team dying next to them at war or someone who sees their dad beat their mom every day. Do you think this can create a mental illness? Or how about someone who has one bad trip on mushrooms and becomes bi-polar or schizophrenic?

    Not taking anything away from your sentiment JB, but you often rant against ignorance. And to that end, an AR-15 is NOT an "assault weapon" under the law. You are buying into and parroting the false narrative from the gun control crowd by repeating that. The biggest problem here is culture and mental health issues. And no one has the stomach to do a damn thing about that. So this is going to continue. That is our reality. And it sucks.
