Love the shirts!! Trump 2024!! I chose Fass after doing some research and this is another reason why.
Thank you!
My fass 165 on my lbz is super quiet, was a breeze to install and love the warranty! Make America great again!!!
Thank you very much! 🇺🇸
Stoked to install a new TSD07165 I picked up off a friend new in box , he never got to installing before health issues, sucks I couldn’t get the warranty but the deal was good and I believe in the product enough to make it worth it!
👊👊
The vid I’ve been waiting for!
Thanks for the support!
Id like to see a comparison between the fass filters and Baldwin BF1258 (10 micron water separator) and Baldwin BF7633 (2 micron fuel filter). Also from an engineering / scientific and marketing standpoint I think you should have the lines visible on the test rig so further proove there is no trickery with hidden extra filters. Not saying there are tricks, but with everything visible it solidifies the integrity of the test.
We appreciate that feedback, thank you!
Also there was only a 2% difference in the test results. That color difference sure looked like more than 2%. Like maybe was subserving extra going on? What were the 2 bigger filters on the bottom for?
I have a 2018 Duramax 6.6. Want to know which model I should buy? Been running stock filters for the last yr but want to give FASS filters a try.
Thank you for reaching out! Is your truck still stock?
I had your pump and filters on my '15 LML, but I need something from you for my '24 L5P with a Titan 60-gallon tank.
Thank you for reaching out. We apologize as we don't have a kit just yet for the Titan tanks, we are actively working on this though!
@@FASSFuelSystems Thank you, Sir!
@@GTOGregory sure thing!
@@GTOGregory You bet!
I've been waiting for you to do a test like this using the bolt in series. I don't understand why you haven't yet?
Gotcha, to make that work we would probably have to build a new tester, and add lift pumps to each side to make it work since the drop-in series doesn't have a lift pump.
@@FASSFuelSystems sounds like a project for someone to build and test... how can you sell something and not show how it works? You guys do it for everything else you sell.
@@VJMazalin we completely understand where you are coming from there. We appreciate the feedback 👊
on a previous question, when the filter stops fuel flow to the CP4 (Ford SD 6.7), does the pump starve and go dry or fuel remains in line & pump? I understand performance would drop prior to full-stop... just playing out worst case: fuel stops. Concern is the Fass Drop-in is to prevent the CP4 from water & failure... full stop and dry isn't any better for a CP4.
This goes back to previous question, how much water will filter absorb before filter blocks flow? Scenario: Near empty towing 5th Wheel, stop and fuel... later to realize bad fuel. Performance drops, stop & change filter... how far between filter changes? Do you need to carry several sets of filters to handle a bad tank of fuel, or will 1 normally handle a bad fuel fill?
Great questions, and the water separator can hold up to about a water bottle of water within the filter before blocking fuel flow. Coming up to that point though typically the performance of the truck would drop. One thing we usually tell people to do is keep an extra set of filters on you just in case you run across a batch of bad fuel as well. The filters typically last 20-25k miles, but if there is a bunch of water in the fuel our XWS will do its job and pull all the emulsified water from the fuel. If you have any further questions, or need anything you are welcome to reach our service team as well. We'd be happy to answer any questions you have! The number is 636-0433-5410.
@@obiwan2906a I did later have a great conversation with FASS. They did share, performance would noticeably drop off, clearly indicating fuel was limited… but allow you to operate truck to get to a location to change filters. If I’m towing a 5th Wheel, I’ll carry 2-3 sets. This is still better than CP4 failure where you’re down, stranded and needing $12-16k repair. Any other filter will trap water til full then allow by-pass… essentially taking out CP4 pump.
I did proceed and ordered the FASS Filter system. I find it a great system, although the 48 gal tank is not a simple install due to mid-location of OEM water separator. I needed to lower tank to ground, means removing metal skid plate and tank. If you perform, get your fuel down low to reduce weight.
I have also ordered SPE’s Disaster Prevention Gen 2 kit… it looks to have best system to keep pump debris out of fuel system and injectors.
If Filters don’t catch everything, I still want something in place to minimize failure and limit repair to CP4 to DCR pump replacement. Although I have high confidence the FASS filters will provide much better protection than OEM regarding contaminants and air… both damaging to injector pumps.
I know it is moot, but could you test the WIX filters too?
We definitely could!
I’ll be heading to your website now
we appreciate that!
After years of following the market I have chosen to go with the Fass titanium series for my 6.6 LLY. So then the question is; what filter is recommended for at the motor? I’m not in favor of eliminating it.
Thank you for your support! And that's a great question.
You can certainly retain that stock filter at the motor, or remove it altogether with a Factory Fuel Filter Delete Kit. Any filter that is downstream of a FASS is essentially a placeholder, as there won't be anything left for it to filter out.
If you decide to keep the filter in place, we recommend using any quality (OEM-grade) or similar filter.
@@FASSFuelSystems true…… And it would be easier to see and reach other things as well as make for a clean look. Was not at all convinced on the water separator filter at first but now that I’ve considered for a while it sure makes sense. Better than replacing injectors!
@@tomaskey6844 It definitely is! We refer to our fuel systems as "insurance for your injection system".
Have you guys done testing against a DAVCO fuel pro on water separation?

I have a FASS 165 that is getting really noisy. I dont have the receipt because it came with the truck. Does the lifetime warranty still apply? Is there a rebuild kit for the pump or motor?
Hey there we would be happy to help! Whenever you have a chance please reach out to our service team at 636-433-5410 with the serial number on the FASS. We will be able to I.D. all options and make sure we get you taken care of.
Very informative video, would you by chance have a drop in replacement for the Severe Duty filter kit on the 2004-2012 Ram 2500 & 3500 Cummins trucks, Mopar 68083826AA? I know you probably recommend getting a complete FASS system, but I can't help but believe there is a huge market opportunity with some drop in replacements for OEM systems.
Great question, and we do have a Drop-in series FASS that will fit those trucks. What year is your truck and we can send the link?

Will FASS filters fit on my airdog? (It was on the truck when I bought it)
Honestly, I would save a little money and switch over to fast.
@ashtonjohnson2203 plan to eventually but in the mean time want to get some fass filters
We appreciate you asking, and apologize as the FASS filters won't fit on an Airdog system. The thread size is different. If you need cross reference though to run a better filter I'm pretty sure they have a sheet on their site, or if you google airdog cross reference it will pull it up.

Or a 1R0759
Most of these will be readily available at your local CAT dealer.
I have a titanium. My biggest fear is sending no fuel to the injectors because your filters will shut off when full. I live in the Midwest and we have plenty of water in diesel tanks. Can you show me how much water it takes to shut off your filter. I'm sure it is more then in my mind. I lost a lot of money sending no fuel to my truck causing my PTSD. Thanks in advance.
You would notice a lack in power or fuel pressure drop before the no fuel to the injectors scenario.
Good video ! Water Has to Go somewhere ? i Guess You Just spin off the filter & dump out the water ?
Great question, and the water will get trapped in the filter element.
I only run Fass filters with my pump 👍🏽
We appreciate that, thank you!
Let’s solve this problem once and for all - paint your filters yellow (or red). I think many customers like myself find white boring. Not arguing your filtration performance in any way, but I think a color change would be the best of both worlds.
We've certainly thought about it! Several companies also offer filter wraps, which obviously allows for endless customization.
That’s definitely not a reason to not go with FASS. A color likely a mechanic will only see. I just ordered a FASS system.
@@10DigitGrids 🤘🤘🤘
Color options would be a good idea. Personally I think the white looks good though under some hoods, in particular of a Paccar and Detroit engine bay. But anything other than yellow looks ridiculous next to a CAT engine…
