There's a shortage of information here I'm sorry to criticise. When I try to drop in on someone the menu on my Alea app shows only the apps in my home. How do you drop in on someone else's Alea Echo Show if you only have their mobile number - don't you have to register permission? I'm at a loss to know how to drop in on anyone outside your own premises.
I use this with my mom. She’s in an assisted living home and we drop in on her frequently. It is extremely useful to keep in contact with her since we cannot visit with her due to Covid. How do I hang up after the drop in? I have been shutting down my phone each time but there has to be an easier way to hang up. How do I hang up?

Do you sell your signs so I can print and laminate for my dad. They are similar to the ones that I have in my dad’s house. I Also have bright colored tape on each device so he knows their names. I also have Wyze cameras. I also have to get a signal booster because so many devices in his house for me to monitor. I will share your channel with other friends who also caregive for elderly parents.

Hi Rachel, I don't think older versions of the Echo Show have features that would help with that. The only solution would be to move the device to angle the camera differently. If people are good at tech, they simply must be in the contacts list. Generally speaking you cant drop in, just call. Drop in is a feature from the app (phone) to the device. However calling works, and its a great way for people who can't dial anymore or don't want to.

If you on you phone, tap the screen and there will be a hang up icon. Else just tell [Keyword] hang up.

How can family drop in to another family member...if they download the app how does it let you chose "Mimi's" Echo?
If they are on the same Amazon account, they can say "Alexa, drop in on ABC" where ABC is the name of the Echo device

It also works on a Fire TV Cube with an external camera that you can manually point the camera at a good spot for someone on the couch.
