I had a 1978 Chevy Luv, with a four cylinder Isuzu gas motor in it. Started it up one morning and it sounded like a diesel, started to back up and the timing chain jumped off, but nothing got bent up. Me and my Dad tore it down, we were surprised at how those things were machined as well as they were, tough little motors. And that's what is in my S-10, a good old Isuzu four cylinder.

Cool to see the insides. I had Isuzu power for some of my construction equipment. Followed the PCMS faithfully, and never had to see the insides. Just as reliable as a good dog. And less mess to clean up :)

The enclosure on the generator is for rain and mostly Noise reduction. Good video Warren keep it up. The dodge has a Hemi in it and they are notorious for cam problems if the engine has been idled for any length of time. The local Dodge dealer had 6 of them in their back shop with the exact same problem. All of them were waiting for parts as Dodge ha none in stock.
Dang it Warren, it could have been a hour longer...lol Those gen sets are pretty cool, but you would think they would build them a little more "field serviceable" you know a little more modular, so a guy can get in get it done, and get out, without too much hassle. Mind you this one didn't look too bad. Bet your just counting the days till you get your help in the shop, that's going to be great (once he settles in). My wife usually listens as I watch this. She is in a chair a few feet from mine. Out of the blue she says “sounds like that guy spoils his dogs like crazy”. She isn’t wrong.

That one looks in pretty good shape and at least has most of the bolts left in the tins. Just did a new flywheel on one a bit ago as the starter decided that it needed to engage on the road one day while it was under load. Kibbles and bits all over lol. Keep up the fine work Warren!
Maybe plastic off the gen portion and wash the rest? I’ve discovered after 12 years of washing greasy equipment that ZEP purple degreaser is hands down the best. Puts Super Clean to shame! I believe they enclosed that gen to keep the noise down and keep it clean. I’ve washed many gens and never had an issue. Doesn’t mean it can’t happen though! Keep up the great work!
With Oscar's attitude if he was a bigger dog I don't think he would take any crap... Glad to see Deere make that engine good on that tractor. Hopefully the owner won't have any more problems with it.

The way to take that generator off is to pull the flex plate bolts first - then you can rotate each bolt around to you- then pull the bolts that hold the generator to the engine ... it's a good idea to mark it before you separate it - just incase you have some balance issues - and if ur going to rebuild the engine it's a good idea to send the generator out and have it dipped and baked. Also replace the rear bearing in the generator... you dont want to have to tear that thing apart again for a $14 bearing ...
If you ever have a little extra time, when you get the old blue flat deck truck together a few minutes of video on it or a little test drive with the pups would be appreciated.

I don't remember if you have said or not what camera you are using. But you need a wireless lapel mic. That way you are not hooked solid, you have a power pack on like they use for the weather at some tv stations.
Warren...picked up a old Massey Ferguson 135 with a Perkins ad3.152 diesel. It has lots of blow by and crank case pressure. If the rings are bad if figure it to be hard to start cold. Otherwise it runs well. Probably need to rebuild the engine?
on further inspection and research it's not the timing of the pumps thats the problem its the governing mechanism. Its stuck in the closed position. the stop solenoid was replaced by another person but this isn't and wasn't the problem as even with the solenoid removed the governor mechanism is still stuck in the closed position and wont move. again, any advice would be very much appreciated
Lol I reference to the little dog pissing so much, my sisters little tiny Italian Greyhound is the exact same way, you’ll take her outside and she’ll kiss like 3 times in the matter of 2 minutes and then bring her right back inside and then a minute later she’ll piss on the floor lol I don’t understand how such a small dog has that much piss in it. I could take my beagle out to pee at 7am and she takes one piss and could then hold it for another 10 hours no problem lol

I think every body who has owned a male dog has asked themselves the same question regarding their capacity to "piss". Maybe they can dehydrate themselves? It is probably just one of those mysteries of the natural world!
any info on the injection timing assembly? i have the exact same engine but no diesel to the injectors. there's a plate on the side of the engine 10mm bolts, behind that there's a metal plate that's connected to the injector pumps that should slide side to side but its its not moving. stop solenoid was replaced by another person but that's not the issue. any advice would be appreciated
lapel mike in your job i can see that not working. will your camera do Bluetooth? i am thinking of a over the ear Bluetooth for something like a phone. i know of a You-tuber / farmer here on the east cost that has gone to that and is having good luck, yes it picks up the wind a bit more but it still works really good.
