Can you work out this mechanism? Karakuri 2023 FS Cube

FS Cube is from the 2023 Karakuri Christmas Puzzle collection by Hideaki Kawashima. This is the last (8th) puzzle of this puzzle series, and it is one of the most surprising mechanism I have seen for a while!
