This Sunavalon combo in the 1st turn was not the best if I can be honest. Sunavalon is a literal 1 card combo deck. If you draw Sunseed Genius Loci you can make a turn 1 extra link easily, trust me i play this deck. Playing Sunavalon Dryas at 3 is good, but do not play any of the "evolutions" of it, only the link 4. I would say cut the Dryas evolutions as well as Sunvine Gardna and play things like Aromage in it, because the Aromaseraphy Jasmine (link 2) is really good. I won't say that this was bad, but you should consider a little more plant support engine or even try out the Black Garden version.
Yeah I agree with you about the link 2-3 Sunavalon is kinda trash considering that Melias is a way better alternatives. I had it in the decklist but I just didn't have the gem for 2 Link 4 Sunavalon or more Melias. I'll think about adding more generic cards, but very unlikely unless it's absolutely necessary because I like to keep it pure as much as I can.
@@YGODueltainer I know what you mean, but it would be like only about 8-10 cards. And yes, there are some UR cards that might be hard to get like Mardel (who I suggest you to play along with Lonefire Blossom) or the Aromaseraphy Jasmine who you must play 2 of. This deck is very consistent with just a bit more support and really fun. Plants has some really OP support and your opponent has a high chance of negating the wrong cards, because they don't know what you're about to do. Plants are so strong yet underrated.
It is very consistent but not advise for long play because incase you havent notice. I lost because I ran out of Thrasher to summon, which is the main damage for this deck.
Yep it might seems odd at first but thats pretty much how Sunavalon works. Take damage to trigger Sunavalon effect in order to special summon a Sunvine of your choosing. Also, I believe I made a misplay at 4:29 becoz I didnt realize the continous trap damage buff effect is a hard once per turn...
@@YGODueltainer it’s more like he had link3 monster out on field , which can negate 3 times battle damage and summon monster Othe rmisplay is he use Gardena instead of slasher when summon link 4 , compared to other people anyway
@@ethantay4630 oh the Sunavalon player is me btw. The reason I went with Guardna for this particular duel was because if the opponent can somehow beat Thrasher with 4k atk then it would be better to have Guardna as it ended the battle right after it's destruction. Still,my turn 1 Sunavalon is essentially just Link 4 a with Sunavalon Blooming and If Im lucky I get target protection with Maiden on hand.

I liked sunavalons thanks to the anime, it's a good deck; mayakashi together with shiranui it's one of my favourites
Sunvine seems interesting, how good is it?

hmm ...the sunavalons strategy was...odd
