I usually bring Hand Sanitizer and the Hand Wipes and I take some disinfectant wipes out of a big bin and put them into a Ziploc baggie. I usually take a wheeling suitcase as my carry on and its matching bag as my purse (I can pack for 2 weeks inside those 2 bags and I can carry them both on with me and they ROLL so I don't have to carry them. Such a plus. I put my purse inside of one and then all my purse-like essentials and then some clothing in them too and all my travel sized products into a Ziploc baggie.
One thing I always try to do when traveling (especially if I'm going out of the country) is pack everything super tight (like try to roll stuff up and compact it as much as possible) bc we all know when you travel, your stuff NEVER fits back the way it did when you packed it before you left for your trip bc it's now dirty! Something else I always try to do is pack a little extra bag (like a laundry bag or an extra carry on bag) that I can pack wet clothes in on the way back home so my clean, dry clothes don't get ruined!! I also agree with what you said about just being able to pull out your wallet or id holder and a small bag with all your flight information and trip info on it! Completely makes traveling a lot less stressful if you know on hand where all that stuff is and don't have to go digging for it!!!

I think you just got lucky. No where on the LAX site nor on the TSA site does it state that the 3-1-1 rule applies only to some airports. They could start clamping down on that rule in a moment's notice and you'll have to throw some of your liquids out.

No matter what climate I am going to or from I must always bring a thickly knit scarf along with a jacket. I always get cold on planes no matter where I am and a jacket usually doesn't cut it so for a scarf I'm easily able to wrap myself as if I'm in a blanket and if it gets annoying I just wrap it around my neck or fold it and put it in my purse.

My number one thing to pack in a travel bag is my cell phone charger. If my flight is delayed (which happens to me ALL the time) it's nice be able to plug in my phone so I can continue to use it for entertainment or to update whoever may be waiting for me at my destination.

They're all less than 3.4 oz! But the quart sized bag only applies to some airports! Flying in and out of LAX they don't require that!
