I went full healing and I don’t care about maximizing my damage. There are 4 DPS in the group responsible for that. I went with the 25% healing set, and 45% cooldown reduction. I have had zero problems with any dungeon. I worry about heals, shields, buffs, debuffs on the boss etc. There is no need for me to be doing damage up through T2, and I dont see that changing.
I enjoy your videos but as a healer main (Wand lvl 15, skills purple 5) I disagree with a lot of things on this one. Perception is a wasted stat in pve. You're probably wearing your pvp gear that has it so it's fine. Also forget about doing damage as a healer. You will never output even 3% of what a proper DPS can do. So toss out the dex, you don't need attack speed and you will get crit from your passive. Toss out DPS passives. Keep the two crit passives. Also maybe this is just me but trying to DPS is just too distracting. As a healer you are looking at health bars, mechanics, other players making sure they are doing their mechanics. Grab purifying touch, being able to cleanse debuffs will save lives and it gives them a healing touch. Keep touch of dispare and deadly mark. The rest pure heals until your confident you can carry ransoms and then swap Clay's salvation, blessed barrier and time for punishment into buffs for your party. So at the start use deadly marker, Janice's rage, cool down reset, fighting barrier and enchanting time (on your top DPS). Once Janice rage is expired use it again. If you are worried about AOE healing use flash wave ahead of time before big damage. If you want to be only pve healer, stack str, wisdom, Max HP, Max Mana and Mana Regen. But we are all probably in pvp gear so use what you got.
This is well thought out response and probably accurate for the general player, I just know from other games such as WoW as good healer does what you're saying a top tier healer does all what you're saying and does DPS. But since im a baboon N.A player i'd default to exactly what you're saying haha
Why would Enchanting Time of a single DPS be better than Time for Punishment, which benefits everyone? Also +5% buff duration and 7.5% range isn't too bad from perception.
I appreciate the comment as it is definitely thought out! I still respectfully disagree with your thought on doing no damage. You'll find that when you're in dungeons and people learn the mechanics you'll want to clear the dungeon as quickly as possible. Yes, we will never be able to do as much damage as a DPS because that is not our role, but if you want to elevate your potential as a healer in PvE it is important to do both. As a beginner healer, it's great to focus on your role as a healer, but if you have the capacity to heal and do damage then you are far more effective in dungeons than just doing healing. Time for punishment puts a debuff decrease skill resistance and this goes for your party too. If you gave one person the enchanting time you only help one person whereas time for punishment essentially gives damage to the whole party. Additionally, I can see how janice rage could be effective, but there are many times in these 2-star dungeons where I have seen incredible value from the heal. Lastly, I use my PvP gear because of how punishing switching from each set can be. Ultimately, I recommend giving this build a shot because I have had many successful runs without running out of mana, maintaining the teams health, and doing great damage to help clear the dungeon quickly!
My issue is: i heal and get ALL the aggro. Then the dps and tank are like "thats cool, we'll fight this one guy and let you run around being chased by 20 adds we pulled but never hit." Happens even with swift heal on the tank.
It sucks right?!? Like I always commend a good tank holding onto to a big group. But there’s always that one group who either doesn’t let the tank pull the room and grouping things up before attacking or ignore the fact that we have a tank in the first place 🤦♂️
Carmine and Island are both locked to night time. They are instanced so the devs chose to make them night. Slap in the face for healers honestly. My heals are down 32% in these and people who have that passive maxed are down 36%.
So I have a gear related question.. what traits should you be focusing one I’ve been doing a lot of reading on it and it sounds like evasion/endurance are worthless in PvE I’ll be doing 80-90% PvE content and only doing PvP content for guild related stuff like boonstone defense and such. A lot of builds I see on max roll have Evasions on their gear but I thought that only really applied to PvP..? Please help 😅 I need some clarity!
Hello! Thank you for the question. So if you are rolling with being a PvE player, I would focus on utility stats such as buff duration, debuff duration, max health and mana, etc. You will still benefit from Evasion because some bosses will miss if you have high evasion. There are some videos out there showcasing how impactful high evasion is even on bosses! I hope this helps!!
@ I appreciate and if at any point if I’m trying to set up for PvP all the reading I’ve done seems like endurance would be more beneficial in the long run since evasion will be less effective because it will be harder to stack up enough evasion to out do someone’s hit chance in once T2 gear drops, unless your run daggers for the passive for the increased evasion that is. At least that’s how I’ve understood what I’ve been reading so far.
Hey! The bullseye specialization is misleading. It give +1 of the strafing "target" buff each time one attack with it Check on a dummy later! I was so sad... 😢
Curious, as a staff/wand healer/dps looking to switch to bow/wand healer for full healer build, how do you run solo content for contracts with bow/wand low dps?
For PvE, totally agree. My thing is that I am invested heavily into PvP gear and it's pretty punishing switching gear for both unfortunately, great advice though
@@thronewithji use it for pvp and u literally cant die. You sont need 100 more defenses when you heal through everything with healing touch alone. 17k hp with it to and 150% skill heal with 70% buff duration
Dont waste money on pve sets thats 1st thing. Im doing t2 completly fine with 2550 cp with random ass gear and cheapest useless traits to just get 2500 to run t2 on alt healer lol. Its easy

Its a big debuff but even at night my skill heal is 108% i have no issues even with dumb parties.

Heavy attack and crit both effect healing as well …. So do you think Dex would be better than perception here?

Oh wow thank you! So it still helps with more damage though right??
So it doent apply another Mark right? I thought I was doing something wrong when testing on target dummies...
If healing touch lasted longer than it’d be worth it imo

Don't. Have a farm build with staff/wand that you can farm, 1 build for PvE dungeons with wand/bow and 1 build for bow/wand PvP
No need to think of damage atall.
4 pc set ascended guardian is the play...
