    I've had so much trouble with DPFs I got myself a small diesel with only an EGR valve to worry about. I swear I have DPF PTSD from dealing with the last few Renaults my wife had.

    If DPF regens weren't working properly you'd expect oil level to go high as it dumps fuel there before the regen is complete. Are the turbo seals knacked? Ni point replacing DPF if it will clog again because of this - easy way to tell is look at the boost pressure sensor, if its caked you can investigate further.
    I would also check for fuel contamination; tends to be the first thing that sets off this chain of events.

    Does the customer have a warranty of any kind on this vehicle? In the states, the dealer that sells the car usually gives the buyer at least 30 day warranty on a car this new. Even if the car was a private party sale and doesn't a dealer warranty, there is a government mandated 8 year, 80K mile warranty on emissions components through the manufacturer.

      The reason them mazda 2.2d have dpf issues is because the exhaust cam shaft is burnt out lobes worn. keeps the cyclinder constantly rich .mazda sell an upgraded cam shaft if u dont fix them the valves start sticking and blown head gasket will follow

      @@bazmeredith right but although he know the pressure can cleaning doesn't work very well he still prefers that to removing the fap exhaust canister and clean it properly on the bench soaking and shaking for 3 -4 hour with a real solvant ( gas, diluant cellulosic, Naphta etc).

    Baz, if you had a van like this and it was a "keeper", would you periodically inject the DPF with cleaner (even if there was no dash light on) from time to time to avoid total DPF failure?

    Nightmare having to tell a customer he needs a new DPF after two weeks ownership

      used 3:51 oh! the guy with the Lauch shirt is recommending using some Lauch Diesel Particle Filter cleaner in the DPF exhaust canister in the back of the engine juste next to the turbo variable pitch vaccum.... lets see that.. 7:23 nope without taking off the DPF ( 585E replace nt auto doc...) you wont be able to clean de DPF right,... although you did introduced the product in the right place ( the double pressure sensor) as oppose to the guys that use the exhaust manifold pressure switch way to the left by the air filter. luckily I have VASP... the exhaust ligne is a lot shorter.

      It's already been done by the looks of the dpf hence why it's painted silver

    • @eoghanhennessy443
      @eoghanhennessy443 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We had chancers in scrap yards painting them silver selling as recondition. The fact the oil is gone low even with a new one could still be happening
