    Thank you very helpful. Something I find odd...I follow all the steps, I have the black lead on the ground mat, hold the red, get my reading, then watch it drop when I put my hand on the mat, all as it should be.
    BUT if I undo the cable from the mat, so the mat is not connected to anything, I get the exact same readings. How can this be? It's like the ground cable isn't doing anything. I also tested it on my grounded bedsheet, exactly the same.
    Any thoughts on this please?

      @RayKatDesignz  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So glad you found it helpful! So - I have seen this as well - and I just went and tested in the manner you described and I get the same result. You will see if you use the ground port of your outlet for the black lead (Please, please test your outlet and be cautious if you choose to try it this way) , vs. touching the black lead to the mat, you will see that your body voltage indeed goes back up when you unplug the mat. If you are using the mat for the black lead, it will only work once with the meter, as the meter no longer gets a reading when you unplug the mat - so it just stays at zero, if that makes sense…. 😊 thank you for watching and for the great question!!

    When I follow your instructions and I touch my grounding sheet my meter goes higher, shouldn't it go lower?

    • @RayKatDesignz
      @RayKatDesignz  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Great question. If your meter reading goes higher when you touch your grounding sheet, it might indicate an issue with the grounding setup. This could happen if the sheet isn’t properly connected to a functional ground or if there’s electrical interference nearby. I recommend double-checking the connection between your sheet and the grounding source (outlet or grounding rod). If you’re using an outlet, be sure it’s properly grounded-an outlet tester can help confirm this:
      ➡Outlet Tester: amzn.to/3Q5Sjbo

    I'm not an electrician so this may be a stupid question but I'd sure appreciate a clarification. I've noticed that if I just directly touch both (e.g. both hands) leads, I get a low number. So, to me it is not surprising that plugging the mat into the same outlet as the black lead (different opening but same box), then me holding the red lead and touching the mat gets a similarly low number. It seems this can be accomplished by virtue of having created a circuit from me to me, though the mat, cord, and outlet, just a longer route than when I directly touched both leads. What am I missing? Thanks!

    • @RayKatDesignz
      @RayKatDesignz  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi & thanks so much for watching! Not a stupid question at all-it’s a really insightful observation! 🌟 What you’re describing is indeed a circuit involving your body, the leads, and the outlet. However, when you touch both leads directly, the current is just flowing within your body, bypassing the grounding system entirely. When you’re using the mat, the grounding effect happens because it connects you to the Earth (via the outlet's ground or a grounding rod), allowing excess voltage in your body to dissipate.
      So, while it may seem similar, the key difference is that with the mat, your body has a pathway to release charge to the Earth, which is the essence of grounding. The meter shows this as a drop in body voltage because of that dissipation. Does that help at all?

    hi can you test this while showering and bathing as the water is grounded right ??

    • @RayKatDesignz
      @RayKatDesignz  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! Yes, water can conduct electricity and, in theory, could help with grounding. That’s a great idea for a video! 😊 I initially thought using a similar approach to what I showed in this video might work, like placing your hand in a sink full of water while holding the red probe in your free hand and grounding the black probe. However, when I tested it, the results weren’t as clear as I expected. If you’re interested, I can look into creating content that explores this topic further. Thanks for watching and asking! 😊. And do be careful if testing with water and electrical outlets!!! ⚡️

    Thanks, that was great! - do You think it is still worth using a grounding device which shows 0.15-0.11 and doesn't entirely go down to zero (the conductivity isn't full but better than none) ??
    The issue I have in my old tenement is that there is no grounded outlet, so buying a mat is pointless and living high up, I can't even install a grounding rod anywhere outside either, so my only option is to possibly buy a copper ribbon which I could tie to an unpainted part of a radiator (which is the bit that gave me this reading) and place a foot on that copper ribbon, when I am using the computer for example - what do you reckon ?
    Any other ideas welcome and thanks again for this great vid.

    • @RayKatDesignz
      @RayKatDesignz  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Aww! Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your creative approach! 😊 A grounding device that reduces your body voltage to 0.15-0.11 is still beneficial-every little bit helps, even if it doesn't go to zero.
      Your idea of using a copper ribbon attached to an unpainted part of the radiator is a great solution and appears to be working 👏! If you have copper pipes, you could also try connecting to a copper pipe, faucet or drain. Do you know if there is any natural stone or metal that runs from your unit down to ground? Like a balcony railing?? If so, you could try and test that as well.
      Absolutely love your creative thinking, innovative approach and dedication to grounding! Keep it up and I'd love to hear how it's going! 🌟 Happy to answer any other questions you may have and do let me know if there is any content I could create that you'd find useful! Thank you SO much again for watching and taking the time to write such a thoughtful comment! 🌸 Wishing you the best on your grounding journey :)

    Im trying to test my grounding sheet and mat, but I cant get a reading when I hold the red and put the black in the ground hole. I did test the outlet and its wired correctly. Why would I not register anything when I hold it?

    • @RayKatDesignz
      @RayKatDesignz  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Thank you for watching and for your great question! If your outlet is wired correctly but you’re not getting a reading, it could be due to a couple of things. First, make sure the multimeter is set to AC voltage (V~). Also, check that you’re holding the red lead firmly and that the black lead is securely in the ground hole. If everything is connected properly and you still don’t get a reading, it’s possible that the sensitivity of your multimeter is too low to pick up small changes in voltage. Let me know if you’re using the same settings as in the video, and we can troubleshoot further! 🌱✨

      There is an article on EarthingInstitute.net that might help you. Here is a quote from it:
      “When you are grounded, you become like a Faraday cage and the Faraday cage effect prevents EMFs generated by the electric wires of your home from penetrating your body. A Faraday cage is a metal enclosure used to block electromagnetic fields. Contrary to what some consultants say, there is no voltage that gets into your body when you are grounded. Just the opposite, when your body is grounded, EMFs are reflected away from you. Grounding drops the voltage on your body to nearly zero.”
      Here is the article: earthinginstitute.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/beware-of-earthing-misinformation-2018.pdf?fbclid=IwAR2tCy1ZOkAsPE92q6ld04qZ8OnYjUsoxs2fL6Paryq02PbVnFMQFPKUamI_aem_AUPtVfoDR-1APIV6C-OGT8pzPRjYC47lORZsbrkn7Ix1FLTR-fM0Qr37NUU3I50EIZcoXmsYC4ffyLmlijCIqag2

    What does it mean if the numbers go up when I touch my grounding pillowcase?

    • @RayKatDesignz
      @RayKatDesignz  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Great question! If your numbers go up when you touch your grounding pillowcase, it could mean that the pillowcase isn't properly grounded or there's some interference affecting the measurement. Have you tried testing your outlet with an outlet tester? What numbers are you seeing before you test and then when you touch the mat? It might be interesting to test the pillowcase in some other areas and see what happens to your readings. Also, check that there are no nearby electronic devices or cords that could be causing electrical interference. Sometimes, testing in different areas of your home can give you more accurate results. If you have any more questions or need further help, feel free to ask. Happy grounding! 😊

    Surely having a bodily voltage is normal?

    • @RayKatDesignz
      @RayKatDesignz  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. It’s completely normal for the body to have a voltage. Our nervous system uses electrical signals to communicate with our organs and cells, for example. We naturally pick up electrical charges from our environment as well - Earthing is especially beneficial when it comes to exposure to things like 5G and Wifi and from electronic devices and wiring around us. Grounding helps reduce that excess voltage by allowing the body to discharge it into the Earth, which can promote balance and well-being. Thanks for bringing that up! 😊🌍

    You may want to learn how to use a DMM prior to giving a tutorial to those who have no experience using this tool. First, you "tested" yourself wrong. You do NOT plug the negative lead from the DMM into the ground socket. You hold the Red lead between two fingers in one hand and the Black lead between two fingers in the other hand to measure your voltage. Then with the grounding mat pugged into the wall, you would touch a part of your body, your foot, back of hand, skin, whatever is easiest to the mat and watch the voltage change. The way you did it, there is no path for electrons to flow from the Red lead through your body to anything. The measurement on the meter was an incorrect reading.

    • @verbeckr
      @verbeckr 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not sure you’re right about that bro. I think she’s right. Your way would measure the resistance or the DC in your body. Not the AC.

    • @RayKatDesignz
      @RayKatDesignz  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi! I see what you are saying - however, if one were to hold both leads in your hands, as suggested, it would measure the voltage difference between your hands rather than to the ground. Thus, using the negative lead in the ground socket and the positive lead on the body is a correct method to measure body voltage relative to the ground. I appreciate your input and appreciate the discussion to ensure accuracy for everyone. Thanks for helping improve the content!
