Thanks mate, If you are familiar with how the artist plays then it helps a lot. I get an idea of the root note and type of scale and work from there. The hard part is working out if you play across the neck or up and down, that's where you listen for little things like slides and nuances that give away the shapes that are being played. If there's live footage I watch that. Amplitube lets you slow down the music to make it easier in fast runs.

The vintage Marshall lead is really good and with nice headphones it sounds huge. That's it dude
and I watched your video of harvester by Metallica, that riff right before James sings is ba-da-da-dum-da-da you only hit that E power chord twice not three times!! Hopefully I dont sound too condascending haha
Another great song, a mate of mine rates bands by putting them on random and seeing how many times he's got to press skip. You don't have to do it that much with Maiden lol
I prefer guitars with the knobs level with or behind the bridge, but this isn't too bad. It's nowhere near in the way like a strat but you do have confine your right hand a little. You can always get warmoth to make you a new pick guard with no holes for the volume or tone so you can put them wherever you want for $25

The neck is great, feels very sturdy and the guitar seems to have a solid tone. They said the body is basswood but feels too heavy for that. I won't be selling it any time soon, but I'd love to compare with the pro model
I use iMovie on the Mac, give it a few titles, fade in fade out. The multiple split screen vids are done on Final Cut Pro using the 4 or 8 point effect. iMovie is pretty easy and it exports straight to the tube

Any advice on how to practice these parts in order to play them really well?

It would be more appropriate if he wore a maiden shirt but slayer is just as good. You can never go wrong when you wear a slayer shirt.
wearing a metal shirt in general is good. Can't go wrong with any metal band like Megadeth or Judas. Just wear something.
