Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.
Im still rocking the last year of John deere…13/32 pro…just picked up a toro 8/28 for my second home.i wanted the Ariens but our dealer support in my area lacks.im looking forward to using the toro, but more excited to use the old john deere…fuqer is a beast no doubt
Nice machine but you should turn the gas on prior to priming it. I have the Deluxe 28 and I absolutely love it! Ariens really is the king of snowblowers!
Great video! And awesome machine! My dad has the very similar Deluxe 28 SHO and I have the Platinum 24 SHO. Both great machines! These Ariens sure do make easy work of the snow!
@@sanctuarybushcraft9309 It is junk! I own a 2017. Yes it blows snow. But it will not last. The Transmission components are the same from the Classic on up to the Pro. Try that on for size.
One of the best pieces of machines I own.. starts up every time no problem.. even after storage over the summer. I just run it out of gas and leave it. $1899 at lowes financed for 16 months.. cant beat it. I've had it for 3 years.
Bought one over the summer and finally got to use it twice this winter. Thing is built like a brick Shit house, starts every time and has never failed to devour snow. Where I’m at this storm dropped 16inch of wet heavy snow and the Ariens had no trouble whatsoever
Not for what I use it for. Granted its not commercial with hydraulic clutch.. its friction plate. But has plenty of power for the dozen or so 6" plus snow storms it goes through a year. I just ran out of gas that first run when I reached the heavy snow plowed wet stuff so it looked like it bogged down but that was human error. You could always go bigger, my neighbor has a 42" john deer but then my garage space is taken away from the other toys. I could do the driveway in less than 15 minutes with 10" of snow if I wanted to.
"Hope I don't have to explain making sure there's gas in it to you guys."
Almost immediately runs out of gas 🤣🤣
yup! hahaha

Just got the same one can’t wait for the snow to come down

solid copy! 😎
You are supposed to turn the gas on before you prime the carb. Also do not prime it too many times, usually three times is more than adequate.
If you're priming it more than three times, your playing with it.
@@bryanbarker8281 , maybe he likes to play with it
It never fails. Just like my snow blower - it always runs out of gas when I'm farthest from the garage.
sounds like a operator error ...jmho
@@camamoutback Nah! Couldn't possibly be.

No reason it why it wouldn't last 20 more years! Thanks for watching, I would recommend to all.

@@skiprope536 which machine do you own?

I have had several Ariens over a 50 year period. The new ones are junk.
liked/subscribed... also from ct here. my dad is eyeing one of these. any issues?

I own a Ariens 27 ton log splitter, it's like a howitzer.

@@METALWULF spot on. I have found there is a direct correlation between numbers of cc's and how fast you can get things done.

Go big or go home as they say! Nice video!
Good stuff. Under powered?

How is the auto turn? You like that?
It’s a really nice feature, u can whip it around effortlessly
How is this snowblower in 2 or 3 inches of snow?
excellent, u can go very fast.
Can`t stand how Ariens has that indented bar to change the direction of the chute. Can it be designed any worse.
I agree. It would annoy me to have to reach over the dashboard like that to turn the chute.
@@kielbasaglen6843 that's only a problem if you're a small manlet with Trex arms. Men of proper stature don't have issues.
I have zero problem with mine just had 11” where I was last week
For such light fluffy snow it sure seems way under powered . My husqvarna st224 throws twice as far and is only 208cc. 🤔
Why didn’t you grab the EFi?
it always starts first pull
If I have to keep a silly battery charged for the efi to work … I don’t want any part of that
