you know what sucks here is that this video took me 1 hour to export on alight motion, with exactly 392 layers in one project. i want to thank my cheap ah ipad model for surviving that many layers in one that thing is a real one 💀

anyhow, i still hope you learn something from the tutorial. other tutorials i have watched already started with the tweening but mines actually has a ‼️ different and easier approach ‼️ (pls watch til the end huhu)
so, my tutorial is divided into 3 sections.
1st is the screen (on the top left),
2nd is the specifics, extras, and the zooms (top right), and
lastly, the general instructions (the text below). i have probably made this too fast but you can pause if you wanna ofc ! 🥹
‼️ NOTE ‼️
- i only give out examples on how to do x and y. i will not be teaching you how to adjust pivot points, do parenting to other parts, and add hair weights to other parts. it's basically like i'm teaching you how to do a math equation with formulas yet you would not know how to do the same to the other equations ykwim 😭
- please don't be heavily inspired by the way i tween, like plz tweening is actually subjective you can move the body parts in however position you like as long as you have a little bit of knowledge about the keyframes (i still hope i explained it well in your pov) !
- starting from model making, before you go on to the next step, be sure to do your current step with all of your other body parts or else you would be lost

other notes that i forgot:
‼️ this tutorial doesn’t make you a super mega ultra professional at tweening. tweening literally takes lots of time and patience. so even if you get flaws for the first time, then it’s okay! just keep trying and experimenting. look at how other gachatubers did the tweening and observe how they did it. it’s also okay to start off stiff because i used to do that to my models.
in 4:21, don’t forget to put a pivot point in the back hair layer (i did not demonstrate this in the guide but i hope you at least know this part)
and in 3:14 are the body parts that you need in order just in case you missed that

I've been using alight motion for years and i didn't know that there was parenting features like that, I've always just group the parts and i thought thats the only way for it to be normal 😭😭
i did the same thing tooooo when i* first tried alight motion
the parenting feature was just a really new one and i tried it then boogsh!

How do you make the mouth follow the head after you rotate the head? I dont know if i missed a part where you mentioned or not but its the only thing i have a problem with 😭
for me, i first start off making the lip-syncing mouth in green screen, then put it in my model!! i js wanna take note that i first parent the mouth to the head before starting the rotation!! hope this helps

THANK YOUUUU!! although the only problem I'm having is the speed, no matter what I try, the speed is slow even though I'm using 3 key frames, any way to fix this?
it depends on the distance between each keyframes !! the farther they are, the slower the movement is! hope this helps

Hey ! My OC has a long ponytail, so I wanted to put the parenting help filter, but it won't work
I rotated the head before putting the filter on, just like you said ! but once I chose to put the weight on the ponytail and return to the head to return the rotation to 0°, the movement did not occur, it's like it simply changed the rotation of the ponyail :'(
Your tutorial is very clear and I understood all the other steps as well as this one, so I really don't understand why it doesn't work !

did you add the pivot point on the ponytail? it must be located in the top tip of the ponytail for the movement to happen !

hello !! there’s a bop i gave out in 9:38, pretty sure it’s an accurate demonstration on how y3llow’s headbops. as for her tweening or movements, i wouldn’t be able to teach that because tweening is *subjective* and beginners tend to have a hard time following what y3llow can do. what i would recommend for beginners is to experience the usage in different key frames and graphs in tweening.

instead of parenting, couldn’t you group the limbs together? or would that be inefficient/make alight motion lag?
^^^^ i did that method ever since i first started. it’s also an alternative for ppl who wanna go for the free version. although grouping them just makes it more laggy so i refuse to group them now

I need to change a layer (a part of the body) with another layer (the correct one). but I have already animated the wrong layer.
now my question was: how can I replace one layer with another while always leaving the same movements (keyframes)?

to select multiple baby layers for the parent layer you can just select one layer then select a parent layer, then select the other baby later and select the same parent layer you selected earlier and so on
